I bought this drive to replace my old 250gb western digital and 320gb samsung hard drives. I chose this Hitachi drive as at the time it was the best value drive I could find, and for the £58 I paid (from a company called overclockers) it offered a massive amount of storage at 1TB. So far I've been using it for a month and no problems to report yet. It isn't the quietest drive I've used, but it is certainly by no means a noisy drive and also seems to have nice quick access times compared to my older SATA drives.
