    Reserved a hotel in Wesley Chapel through hotel.com because they offered free cancellation up to the date of arrival before 4pm. When i arrived at airport called them a few minutes past 3pm and talked to their representative to cancel the reservation because I had to change my plans. He informed me I would be refunded only 2 nights of the total 3 because I was too late and the had to charge me one night. I informed him that I had their written confirmation stating i had until 4 pm. He said I was wrong and that it was until 3 pm. After a few further rude answers, I asked for his supervisor. I ... more

    I have used hotel booking sites before with no problem. This is the first ( and last) time I willuse thus site Having booked a hotel in dubai and recieving confirmation 3 days before travelling I was horrified whn I had a further e-mail saying that my booking may be cancelled- when I contacted the hotel, they had indeed cancelled because of a credit card problem.Apparently the date was wrong- the hotel cancelled within 10 minutes.     We used Hotels.com to book a hotel/apartment in Panama City for a week. The information supplied regarding all forms of contact with the accommodation, we discovered when trying to book an early check in, was all completely wrong. Phone number, address, everything. We were in another part of Panama when we learned this, we called Hotels.com who promised top call back with the correct details, they did not leaving us with the nightmare of trying to contact the accommodation which turned out to not be a hotel but an apartment for short stays with no on site reception, having to find the agent ... more

    Booked a hotel with hotels.com with breakfast and cancellation option, and had to pay up front. Next day I found a cheaper price booking directly, due to being part of a wedding party, also with cancellation and breakfast. Called hotels.com at 10am, I explanied the 'wedding rate' and they confirmed they would refund the difference and I could expect an email confirmation immediately. No email later that day, so I called back in the evening (2nd call), and was told the refund HAD BEEN APPROVED AND PROCESSED, but the email had not been sent. I was told it would be sent immediately.     I have given this booking site a Very Poor rating.In my line of business I travel around the UK considerably and always use hotels or decent quality B & B. This review comes about following a booking at a Birmingham hotel, The Cavalier House Hotel in September last year. I booked and paid for a full week. On the last but one evening, I was kept awake by building work taking place in the room above me.     I use this site on numerous occasions to book hotels, they offer great prices on rooms all over the world, they also offer you a free nights accommodation, for every 10 nights you book. also if you book a certain amount of nights which i do (working for a company with a head office in Germany) then you become and elite member with free cancellations and an additional team to help with bookings. In my opinion whenever i have needed a hotel they have been able to offer great value rooms, along with great discounts for bookings of more than one night, plus access to sale prices prior to going ... more

    I reserved 3 rooms at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Arkansas for the Labor Day Holiday. We arrived at 4:00 p.m. to check in after being in the hospital the whole morning, I reserved a suite with a pull out couch and was given a regular room because for the price that I had paid hotels.com I couldn't get the suite.     Made two reservation for hotel in Dubai, each for three nights. Since these were gifts to my in-laws, I paid up front for rooms and breakfast. First reservation was for father in law who is 78 and was refused breakfast saying it is not paid for. Called Hotel.Com and they let me hang on the line for 20 minutes only to tell me that they cannot fix it. Add insult to injury they could not fix the other reservation either which is a week ahead!!     Booked through this website for a 2 night stay, drove 4 hours to the hotel only to find we had been double booked by Hotels.com, in fact the hotel had been booked out on this night for 9 months! It was absolutely horrendous trying to get through to anyone on the phone to sort the mess out, then only offered a room 20 miles away from where we needed to be. I was very upset by this experience and will never book through hotels.com again. I do not recommend anyone else does either. Further more it took multiple emails to gain a refund, and was finally offered £65 compensation which in no way made ... more

    Totally agreed!!! Hotels.com sucks!!! I made a cancellation before the deadline due to a big demonstration in the city where I had booked a hotel thru hotels.com website, but they claimed the cancellation never went thru and still charged me fully! When I called the customer service, they said they would investigate and got me to me within 72 hours but never did. I called again, and they said that's nothing they could do and did not bother to investigate what had happened with the technical issue, just said that the room charges had gone thru, that's nothing they could do!!!
