Disadvantages a very basic designing software package
This is a fantastic package for designing your own cross stitch patterns. Its quick and esy to set up and use. The biggest downside for me was trying to chart from a scanned in photo, whilst the chart was clear and easy to read the automatic colour selections were quite a way of th eorigonal photo. For example a black dog was charted in variations of dark purples. That could have been my scanner or more likely the software involved in the program.
