I'm an amateur photographer. Thanks to my hobby I have hundreds of gigabytes of photos on the hard drive of my home computer. I purchased this drive mainly to free up some space and also for backup. I've got a new computer with USB 3.0 ports, so I was looking for a USB 3.0 drive with high disk capacity to be able to take full advantage of the USB 3 speed. I've chosen this drive because Lacie has a good reputation for quality, design and customer service. And it's not my first Lacie drive, so I have some first hand experience to confirm that.
