Advantages a lot of choice
Disadvantages delivery times, hassel to get the product
We got a sofa from land of leather and it was and still is great unfortunately I dont feel the same about the service. I had heard bad things about this company in regards to payments etc but decided to ignor them and on this I am glad because we did get a great sofa at a reasonable price. When we were in the store we were looking around and we were just being watched by every attendant in the place but no one actullay asked us if we wanted any help. Advantages None at all
Disadvantages You can't be sure of what you're getting and the quality is dredfull!
Having purchased a suite (2 x 2 seater + 1 chair) that was supposed to be leather I awaited delivery which was on the day specified and was quick and efficient which I know isn't everybody's experience. The suite looked Ok if not a little cheap. The first sign of things being not as they seem were the supposed wooden feet which I soon found out were not even wood. Obviously it must save them a lot of money to make the legs out of a white plaster/ chalk like substance and paint it to look like wood and most people won't find out till they hit it with the vacuum cleaner and a chunk falls off ...

Disadvantages shame about the lack of service
who cares which store we're talking about but in my case it all started with what appeared to be a bargain at west thurrock however just consider the call centre(in india!!!) well since you can't get any useful information from them try sending an email... (AUTOMATED RESPONSE!!) and nothing more because they're too busy taking other peoples money. nine weeks without communication from them and every time i tried the call centre(IN INDIA!!!) they just reeled of the same twaddle. "your furniture is in transit" finally they call me only to say i've got to take delivery of something i've been ...

Goodbye and Good Ridence Land of Leather. To the sales man who mickie moused my finance documents and re -wrote a second version signing it too !!!! not a good copy of signiture I have to say and bank details incorrect too (yes I have the original !) The contract is not worth the paper it is written on!!!! Threats of court action from the credit company ...... bring it on I say .. I am more than happy to show the courts my paper work .... An experience I never want to experience again .....

Advantages choice of furniture
Disadvantages appalling service, poor customer service skills
Absolutely appalling! My new suite was to be deliverred at the beginning of Feb. I got a call to say it had been brought forward to Saturday (yesterday) and I had to go to the shop to pay the balance in full. I had tried to pay for the suite with cash at point of sale, but they would only take debit or credit card. I had to get rid of my old (perfectly good condition) suite quickly so gave it to a charity. Saturday came but no suite was here by mid afternoon so I rang the warehouse...it was closed. I then rang the shop and was told the delivery was marked for Saturday but there was nothing to ...

Advantages I liked the suite
Disadvantages 50% leather 50% Vinyl, Warranty only covers leather parts
How would you feel if you had a problem with your new leather suite and when a repairman came out told you is is only around 50% leather, and the rest is PVC? I was pretty disgusted, but by then had the suite for a few months and it was too late to do anything about it. Apparently "Leather Match" is a Land of Leather code for PVC and not as the salesman had told me when I enquired a method of matching the colour on all the pieces of leather to ensure there is no colour variance. Disadvantages No Afterservice or customer service
BEWARE! We purchased a 3+2+1 suite from Land Of Leather Aberdeen end dec 2007. This was delivered to us beginning og Jan 08 and within 1 week one of the seats started to severely sink with the support going in the back rest. We reported this to the Aberdeen branch where we had purchased the suite and they arrange for an independant engineer to inspect. The engineer attended and advised that this was quite normal and this was only settlement. Not happy with this response as the seat requires support in order for the seat to be used otherwise completely unconfortable. We telephoned theor head ...

Bought two sofas now over the past 3 years. I had one delivered instantly and the other in 11 weeks. Not any problems. The sales staff simon was great, upfront, honest and great service. Took the extended warrenty on both and have had great service with that too. Will be back for their boxing day sale.

I purchased a sofa in the Gillingham store at the end of July 2008. I chased it up at the beginning of October 2008. I was told it would be in the warehouse on 22/10/08. On this date I telephoned and offered to pay in full and arrange delivery. I was told there was a delay and it would actually be 22/11/08. After I expressed how unhappy I was and asked if there was anything they could do they organised a sofa from another branch up North which was delivered on 15/11/2008. Disadvantages going to the store at all
Hi My wife and i bought a 3 & 2 sofa from these so called specialists at their leeds store on 20th june 2006 and was told we would have to wait 8 weeks. 14 weeks later we were allowed to collect it. infact i was told it was at tamworth then newcastle when infact it was at the leeds warehouse near our home since the day we bought it. when the forklift driver rammed it in the van which my pregnant wife was sat in he caught the van and shunted it forward 20 yards before realising it was stuck. when we got it home it was obviously damaged and we had to have it repaired. then it became faulty 5 ...
