    Advantages Advantages might be cheaper sometimes but I would not trust that

    here one of the reasons (but I do have few more) why i can only give 2* for Laterooms Services: Recently i booked a hotel through Laterooms.com and once I returned i wanted to post the review and upload the pictures of the hotel. It took 3 weeks and many emails to finally see the review but they wont upload the pictures..and here is their answer: "Unfortunately we would be unable to post the photographs onto the site as photographs must be an unbiased representation of the hotel." in other words: "upload nice pictures or do not upload any" I wanted to post pictures from my room which was in ... more

    I BOOKED A 4 NITE STAY IN AMSTERDAM FOR AUGUST 2012 THRIOUGH LATEROOMS.COM AND WHAT A MISTAKE I MADE. THE AIRLINE WHICH MY FLIGHTS WERE BOOKED WITH WITHDREW THEIR SERVICE FROM MY LOCAL AIRPORT(BELFAST) AND THE OTHER AIRLINES WERE TOO EXPENSIVE TO RE-BOOK. AS A RESULT OF THIS I CAN NOT GO ON THIS PLANNED TRIP AND TRIED TO GET A REFUND OF THE 396 EURO THAT I PAID THROUGH LATEROOMS.COM FOR MY ACCOMMODATION.     Last Apr. 5, 2012, I was redirected to the site of LateRooms.com when I was searching for a reliable hotel booking site. I wanted to make a reservation in Clark Montevista Hotel in Angeles City, Philippines for the following day, Apr.6. At first I felt happy that I was able to reserve a 2-bedroom unit through LateRooms.com however when my family and I got to the hotel the following day, I was told that no reservation was made and they do not recognize LateRooms.com.     Advantages Advantages Good if you want to give your money for services you don't receive.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages V.bad customer service, blunt and unhelpful in all aspects of the way they dealt with the issue.

    Having booked 5 nights in Cornwall through LateRooms.com i recieved confirmation and assumed all was fine. However 20 minutes later i got a call direct from the hotel stating that they didnt have the rooms available that LateRooms were advertising. I then called LateRooms to let them know their error and all i got was excuses stating that it was the fault of the hotel n,and not them. They also assured, me no money had been taken. Upon checking my bank a/c they had taken out the money (funny that). Now i called them and they spoke to the hotel and assured me they had refunded the amount. But it ... more

    Be wary of Laterooms cancellation policy. Cancellations with Laterooms.com are difficult. When you reserve your room they take your credit card and have an inflexible cancelation policy. My travel plans changed while enroute. While travelling in a remote part of Spain, I found it awkward to get access to internet and instead tried to cancel my booking by phone. Laterooms would not accept a phone cancellation and I was charged for the room. To cancel you must go online and cancel through the website. Laterooms would not accept my explanations and was inflexible. I don't suggest using this ... more

    I've always found laterooms.com really useful and use it a lot to book both business and leisure accomodation. I had a bad experience recently when I booked two nights at The Norwood Guest House in Accrington though. The owner there is quite possibly the most vile person I have come across, in my opinion of course. I called him before arriving to arrange my arrival time and he told me he'd leave a key out hidden away, to cut a long story short, the ket wasnt left and when I rung the doorbell I was met with a torrent of abuse!     Ease of Use I was pleased with the booking process and found it to be fairly user friendly. It is easy to search on basic hotel search criteria (area, dates and number of occupants) as there is a clearly visible box where this information can be entered and matched with available rooms. I was also very pleased that the search results can easily be sorted by price, distance, rating or name depending on what is important to the user. The serach criteria are saved in the serach box which remains visible on screen once the user has selected a hotel so its easy to return to your initial search ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Hugely failed my trust in its ability to book a hotel and back that up with actual actions.

    Booking made on hotel through Laterooms.com which wasnt even open. I made a booking for Torri Pepoili, a hotel in sicily listed on Laterooms.com. I decided to book thru them because the hotel itself was not replying to my calls or emails Thinking that laterooms.com would have a special arrangement with the hotel. just to be sure my booking was registered by the hotel, I called late rooms.com to see how they knew that the hotel had my booking. it turned out they didn't. and only agreed to investigate this after I repeatedly reminded them that it was their obligation.     Well.........After spending a week on deciding to take a trip down to birmingham with some family members who havent been, I decided to check laterooms.co.uk to see if I could get a cheap hotel deal..... I saw that the britannia hotel had a good rate on so decided to take up on that offer. I have stayed in the britannia in manchester and thought it was ok so based on that i decided to book. I booked this hotel room on the 3rd and reserved a double room with ensuite for the 15/10/09 which was plenty ample time.     VERY QUICK TO BOOK This site is incredible for booking hotels quickly and cheaply. Example: This morning I booked a hotel near Shepherds Bush in London for 5 people at the end of October. After carrying out the search, LateRooms displayed a massive list of hotels, 721 to be exact, which would normally throw me, BUT, using this site you are able to sort by: *Miles (Distance away from your searched area) *Location *Guest rating *Star rating *And most importantly cost. In this case, I sorted by Miles and Bob's your uncle, I found my match right at the top. I have managed to find a room for one ... more
