    Advantages Advantages Cheap, good choice of packages, efficient, good and stable online streaming

    Disadvantages Disadvantages DVDs occasionally damaged, sneakily trying to get you to upgrade, box set discs only 1 at a time

    Love films? Hate piracy? Arrrr me hearties, shiver me timbers. Then naturally, as upstanding citizens, we should all go to the cinema to satisfy our movie needs instead of watching illicitly pirated copies of the latest films. Oh yeah, apart from that small fact that it now costs a bomb, probably on average about £10, to have that pleasure of sitting in an uncomfortable seat getting a numb bum watching all the action unfurl on a big screen, not to mention the extortionate prices for refreshments or often being forced to pay extra to watch it all in 3D which just makes you feel slightly ill ... more

    Advantages Advantages choose from a large range of titles, dvd's are sent via 1st class post, return postage is paid for

    Disadvantages Disadvantages may receive faulty discs, long wait for some titles

    How did I hear about Lovefilm? = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = My colleague at work has been a member of Lovefilm for a god few years and he is always talking about it at work, but I was never tempted to join as I tend to borrow DVD's off my sister and her boyfriend all the time seeing as they have an ever growing collection. I am a member of a site called Superpoints where you earn points for signing up to offers, completing surveys and watching short video clips.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Very limited selection, poor website, xbox app is a disaster

    We signed up to LoveFilm Instant last night, and I have never dealt with a company that successfully managed to get me to sign up and cancel my account within 5 minutes. I decided to signup to their Instant service, since we use an XBox for most of our entertainment, such as music, etc. They had a nice offer (3 months for £4.99) so we decided to give it a try. Firstly, the frustration started with their website: it was slow as hell, and we had to try to sign up three times.     As a film addict I found that it would be much cheaper to pay for a lovefilm subscription rather than to buy all the DVD's of films that I wanted. So when I found out I could get a month free and get more free films by recommending my fellow films addicts I joined instantly. ---THE PACKAGES AVAILABLE--- There are many options to choose from depending on how many films you want, or games, or just how much you have to spend.     Lovefilm took money from my account unauthorized. They have been "investigating" the unauthorized transaction for a week now and this is the final letter that they send to my fiance (along with so many others, I cannot paste them): Dear Stanford, Thank you for your email, and apologies for any confusion caused. I have chased this up for you, and it would appear that your query is still being investigated.     i think lovefilm is a good company, i get the 2 dvds per month package, i have only once had a problem with a disc, which i sent back and got it replaced within 3 days. they also run lot of the other mainstream dvd rentals like amazon. postage is quick and i always get a good mix of my priority and mid ranged dvds. they also stream films to your ps3 and internet tv, also they sent me 2 £28 vouchers for my friends which they have used and are now members. they have a good website and offer free rentals a few times a year if you add an extra 10 films to your rental list, i managed to collect ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages some scratched discs, takes ages to get new releases.

    Lovefilm is a subscription service which most people nowadays seem to have an awareness of. We personally took out a subscription in January 2005. We had done some christmas shopping at Boots.com, and inside the parcel was a flyer advertising the service. If we went in and subscribed using a code on the flyer we could have boots points and then further points for every month we paid for.     If you love movies and games but not always buying them and just want them for a short time or one night then this is for you (no games on free trial). Simply create an account pick your movies and they will be yours within 2 days and will be back to them in two days after you post it back. Now I always concerned with online deals and companies but was recommended love film of a friend. I don't regret it I've seen various movies within a short period.     I have been a customer of Lovefilm for about 2 years. I have an unlimited subscription for one film at a time which means that I can have as many films as I can get through in a month for a fee. I pay £10.99 a month and frequently get through up to 7 films a month. I can also watch streamed films through the Playstation 3 for no extra cost which increases the number of films I can watch. I find this to be really good value. The films are delivered to my house in the post and after I have watched them I post them right back. The turn around is very fast which is great.
