    I went on a massive Lush spree recently (I always seem to be on Lush sprees these days) and realised that I hadn't tried many of their cleansers. Lush are the only company, with the exception of Simple, whose products don't irritate my skin, so I thought I might as well give something a try. The product I chose was Fresh Farmacy. Fresh Farmacy is described by Lush as a "cleansing chamomile and calamine bar for troublesome skin".     Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite Pricey.

    Lush Fresh Farmacy is the soothing cleansing bar from Lush primarily aimed at troublesome skin. This is one of the first things I ever bought from Lush over 10 years ago, and it's still something I always grab a chunk of when I visit one of their shops now. Which just goes to show they must be doing something right when they make this bar! I don't have overly troubled skin, but I do still have the kind of skin I had when I was a teenager (some might say that's a good thing!) in the sense that it is still quite oily, and I can still get blemishes from time to time, mainly on my chin, so I like ... more

    Several weeks ago, after an additional week or so of browsing the Lush website, I went off to Preston armed with a list and the intention to buy either the Angels On Bare Skin cleanser or the Fresh Farmacy one. I knew I wanted an exfoliator of some kind but I've also been going through a rebellious skin phase again (hoped I'd grown out of all that now) and, going by the online description, I thought Fresh Farmacy might help me out, too.     At the age of 21 I began suffering with mild adult acne. I say mild, but it was enough to leave me in tears over my once perfect skin. Lots of ugly whiteheads all round my chin, ugly red spots on my cheeks and head, just UGLY!! I basically tried everything to clear my skin up, from spending close to £200 on the full Dermalogica range to going to the doctor and being given a prescription for liquid that burned my face.     Advantages Advantages cuts through oil, soothes sensativity and smell ok

    Disadvantages Disadvantages can be to drying for people with dry skin.

    i feel like im coming to the end of my love affair with all things lush..i just find dermalogica more effective and left my skin smooter softer and not a pimple in sight while i seem to perenially have 1 or 2 spot since stopping my dermalogica routine.. having said all this.. the one cleanser i think i will still use every morning will definetly be my fresh farmacy facial soap.. it tightens pores, eradicates gease, blackheads..what blackheads?? they seem to have gone away for me and my face just looks cleaner and fresher - did i mention the calamine helps soothe skin and gently removes post ... more

    as with all Lush products i was advised to buy this by thier fantastic staff in store. i have problem skin which does tend to break out from time to time. i began using this on a morning after using my dark angles exfoliator from lush. application - i tend to run this under hot water whilst in the shower and then literally rub the bar over my face, its chalky and creamy at the same time, and lathers into a pink foam. it doesnt leave your skin tight, which i love, and really helps to sooth red blemishes and problem skin. i tend to rub the lather in my hands and then massage my face after ... more

    In an effort to combat my blemishes and pay less then I did for my last facial skincare regime products (Liz Earle), I headed down to Lush to check out this facial soap. I read some great reviews of it on dooyoo and so thought I would add in my thoughts as well. I have to say it no longer looks like the above picture, I was informed that they changed how it looked recently. It is now a very very pale lavender colour, it no longer has those orange shavings on top either. For some reason on the website it is shown as being pink, but this isn't the case in store.     I bought this product as I was recommended it by the girl in the Glasgow store. She said it would be good for my teenage spotty skin that was prone to excess grease as it contains a mixture of oils that have deep cleansing properties eg. lavender oil However in reality the product was drying on my face and it made the spots on my cheeks flare up. I will not be buying this product again. In the end I used it as a shaving cream instead as it lathered up nicely and was not so drying on the skin when used on other areas of my body.     Since I'd ordered a good range of Lush products (which I'm sure some of you are quite sick of hearing about), I decided to buy a facial cleanser as well, because I have quite weird combination skin. To be honest, as I rarely suffer from spots I've got quite complacent to just splash some water over my face, half-heartedly trying a new routine for a few weeks whenever I pick out something new.     The majority of my Lush purchases are soaps and other bath products but as I was using so much from Lush I decided to try some facial care products from them too. As my skin is very sensitive on my face I thought it would be best to go and speak to a Lush assistant and ask which cleanser would be most suited for my skin type, I was advised to try Fresh Farmacy and was given a massive 55g sample to take away and try so that I could ensure it was suitable for me.
