    Advantages Advantages long, full lashes

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price, wears off quickly

I use False Lash Effect mascara frequently and it's still the best I've found. However, I still haven't found "the" mascara for me. Ease of use: The packaging is ergonomic making it easy to hold with a steady hand. The brush doesn't make a mess when it's removed from it's container, and the brush itself is easy to use on the top lashes. It is harder to reach the lower lashes and I find it leaves very small clumps on lower lashes. The look: False lash effect makes my lashes look darker and much fuller. It's one of the few good mascaras that make lashes look both longer and fuller. It also ... more

    Advantages Advantages None for me

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Everything about it

I have been using Max factor mascara for a few years and every so often they bring out a new one that has bigger and better claims than the one before. As I have very short and sparse lashes, I was naturally attracted to the False Lash claims of the ‘new’ Max Factor mascara. I bought this from Boots with some Advantage Card Points I had and to buy it with ‘real money’ it would have cost me £10.99. This is about average price for the type of mascara I usually buy. The barrel of the mascara looks like a large oval shaped cylinder object. It’s not small, compact or subtle, by any stretch of the ... more

Advantages Advantages Lashes are separated, look longer and thicker, and do not clump.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me.

My lashes are of an average length and are dark, so I don't really use mascara on a daily basis. I usually only use it when I'm going out, and so I prefer to invest in a good quality mascara. I had heard a lot of good things about this mascara, and about Max Factor mascaras in general, so when my previous mascara was running out, I decided to go ahead and buy this. Packaging The mascara comes in a chunky tube that makes it easy to spot in your makeup bag, and also easy to hold. When you unscrew the lid, you will see that the brush is quite large, definitely larger than that of other mascaras I ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to apply, does not irritate my eyes, looks great, extends and darkens lashes.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

Mascara is something that I use on a daily basis and I never go longer than 3 months without needing to buy a new mascara because I wear it frequently. On occasion I have been known to run out after just 2 months and this mascara is one that was given to me at Christmas by my sister. Because I had several other unopened mascaras that I had picked up at various times I only started using this in June when we went to a friends wedding. I have now finished this mascara, only just, so figured this would be as good a time as any to write a review! Mascara is something that can be very hit and miss ... more

Advantages Advantages long lashes, natural effect

    Disadvantages Disadvantages nothing so far

I tried loads of different brands of mascara until I came across with Max Factor's False Lash Effect Mascara. Priced for 10-11 pounds this mascara is still in affordable category for me. Why did this mascara work well for me? It has special bristles that really separate my eye-lashes and cover them well with mascara. It has a natural effect on my lashes which is important for me. It is really long lasting and is not clumpy. It is easy to clean it off with any kind of eye-makeup remover, I never had a problem with it and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes at all. I buy it from Boots but it is ... more

Advantages Advantages My lashes really 'do' look false!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me!

My best friend Maria is gorgeous. She is half Somalian, half white, and kind of glows in the dark, with a natural golden tanned colour which most people would kill for! If I didn't love her so much I would be sickeningly jealous! Blessed with stunning good looks, fabulous teeth and a killer smile -why she should have been a Bond girl back in the 90's, if the producers had had any sense! What the lovely Maria hasn't got in abundance however, are long eyelashes - and being very ultra-chic in her appearance, always, this facial fact has always bothered her to death... Now what, I may hear you ask ... more

Advantages Advantages Thick Brush, No clumps

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None whatsoever!

In my opinion, this mascara is worth every penny! I use it on its own in the daytime and at night I layer it on top of another coat of mascara and my lashes are given a wow factor! I decided to try false eyelashes and although I eventually managed to get them on, they were too fiddly and I got super-stressed out when they went wrong! but with this mascara there is absolutely no need to buy false lashes and there's no stress involved! The brush is fat and there is no clumps on the brush so your lashes aren't left looking hevay or clumpy just seperated, volumized and lush! This is definitely the ... more

Advantages Advantages can give you a dramatic look, no clumping

Disadvantages Disadvantages application not easy because of size of wand

I have noticed that over the years, my eyelashes are sadly not as thick and lush as they once were so the hunt for the best mascara has been on over the past couple of years in order to revive them to somewhat of their former glory! Max Factor, the make up of makeup artists is a favoured manufacturer of mine in terms of foundation so I decided to give this mascara a go and bought it from Boots in Black (although it is also available in black/brown) for around £11 pounds. The Mascara I bought is the false lash effect fusion (volume & Length) and the tube is very thick and purple in colour with ... more

Advantages Advantages A make-up bag must have

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

This mascara retails for £10.99 from Boots,Superdrug and many other make-up stockists. It is high priced for high street/drugstore mascara but I feel that this is reflected in the quality. Max Factor says 'Some other volumising mascaras only create volume at the base, the new False Lash Effect Mascara wraps each lash right to the tip for a false lash effect.' I feel that this mascara is great all round. The short bristled wand ensures that every lash is covered and the mascara formula will coat your lashes easily and thoroughly leaving you with longer looking defined lashes. This mascara ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks like lush false eyelashes without the grief

Disadvantages Disadvantages Dries out quite quickly in tube

I have been looking for an easier alternative to applying false eyelashes for some time. I did try with the false lashes thing but found them too fiddley to put on and didnt really like the idea of putting glue near my eyes as they are quite sensitive. Since trying Max Factors False Lash Effect Mascaca this is the only one I use now. Although a little more expensive around £10.99, I have seen it on offer at Superdrug for cheaper several times on special offers. Its very easy to apply giving you that thick lush eyelash look without looking like a drag queen. I was quite amazed how good and long ... more
