I'd like to cover a form of Internet safety most people probably don't even think about. Your own physical well being. All those hours of looking at your monitor can damage your vision. It can give you eye burn. What do I mean by that? Looking at white isn't good for you, it eventually burns out the optic nerve. Computer security has many aspects and the threats against it can take just as many forms. Ironically, the most secure PC in the world is one that doesn't work; after all, it's not likely to be open to attack, unless it gets stolen. Almost everyone I know that uses computers always uses the default application Internet Explorer to surf the net. Sandemp reminded me that Microsoft is not the only player and there are many more explorer programs out there, some more useful than others. AOL for example uses its own brand based on Netscape Navigator which is used as the default browser for them. I've only used it a couple of times so it would not be fair of me to give an in depth review but it would be safe to say that I did not find the experience comfortable.
