    Advantages Advantages Value for money.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Some problems.

The Xbox live communicator headset is an accessory that comes with Xbox Premium Console and Xbox elite controller and is one method of using the voice messaging services on Xbox live, The headset itself connects to the Xbox 360 wireless controller via a cable only. During this review I will discuss several concerns that affect the usage of this headset. Usability The headset itself connects easily to the XBOX Wireless controller and the connecter itself never disconnects whilst using, this is a perfect design feature as a lot of other headsets use basic audio input sockets(like on a cd player) ... more

Advantages Advantages Helps you communicate with other players, free, Microsoft will replace

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor sound quality, breaks easily, can be uncomfortable

The Xbox 360 Headset The Xbox 360 Headset comes with all Xbox 360`s (reviewed) but can also be bought separately from retailers for a cheap price with it being available at Amazon for £10.97. The headset is made of plastic and comes in a white and grey colour. The headset has a wire which is plugged into the bottom of the Xbox 360 controller (see my crowned review!) The headset also has a dial to adjust the sound volume however I recommend having it quite high as the sound quality is not always great to be honest and you may struggle to hear people if they have a bad connection with it turned ... more

Advantages Advantages Great product that works well, easy to set up and use.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

The Xbox 360 Headset is something that was received free with my fiance's Xbox 360 Core which he got from me in December 2007 as his main Christmas present. However, you can also buy this headset for £10.97 from Amazon.co.uk with free super saver delivery. The headset is made from plastic and comes in an off white & grey colour. There is a band which is designed to fit over the wearers head and is adjustable to hit all different head sizes. I like to think that my huge amazing brain gives me a big head and this certainly adjusts to fit me with no problems. One side of the headset has a plastic ... more

Advantages Advantages Better than the wireless one....easily

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

When the XBOX 360 launched around about 5 years ago, one of its key features was the investment made into online gaming, bringing gamers all over the world together to compete, communicate and aid each other. It intended to create communities of gamers by using tools long known online including messaging, friends lists, profile pages etc. Xbox Live and its set up at the time revolutionised online gaming and continues to do this. A vital tool in this was the ability to communicate via a headset to talk to and hear those you were gaming with and against. Therefore, included in every console is a ... more

Advantages Advantages Microsoft's own brand, low price

Disadvantages Disadvantages Breaks Easily, Can only be used for Xbox 360 Controllers

This headset is Microsoft's own official product and is a communicator which can be used for voice enabled chat with other xbox live users around the world. The Headset plugs into the bottom of the Xbox 360's controller. This headset goes on over the top of your head instead of round the back which sometimes they do. This is neither an advantage or disadvantage but has more to do with your personal preference. (For me I prefer over the top ones because I find them more comfy and whilst playing with it on I like to lean back against the wall). I have found the these headsets can break very ... more

Advantages Advantages comfortable, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages not great quality sound

the official 360 headset from microsoft is a good piece of equipment as it allows you to talk to anyone you want around the world with ease. the headset easily plugs into the control and you then ae ready. it is comfortable and after a while you will forget that it is even on your head as it is also very light. also as it is plugged into the controller, if you are using a wireless one you can even walk away downstairs and still talk to some body. at time the sound quality is pretty good but most of the time its not that great, however it is never terrible, but sometimes you do get echo which ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, reliable and good sound quality.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Wired to controller - but its light so you don't really notice.

Its not the most attractive of headseats, and sure the wireless looks alot better - but it costs alot more. The wired headset comes free with all Xbox's apart from the arcade, and if it breaks or you need another, they cost around £10. Which is very reasonable. Although not asthetically pleasing, it is lightweight and very good quality. After a while you hardly notice its's on your head, due to a soft cover on the earpiece. The sound quality is suprisingly goo for a flimsy looking headset. It also comes with a volume control, which I find always needs to be on maximum for conversations, and a ... more

Advantages Advantages Simple use, lightweight and comfortable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not stellar sound quality

The xbox 360 headset is shipped with the console, and matches the white tones of both the console and control pad. It has a very light, somewhat flimsey, feel to it, however can actually take quite abit of punishment and still stay in one peice. The sound quality is average at best and is clear enough to hold a conversation without exceeding itself. It does suffer from echos and delay at times but I feel this may be due to the internet more than the headset itself. The only real major downside I can think of is the fact that every other gamer playing online has access to this mic and this ... more
