    Advantages Advantages Strong and sturdy

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit heavy for me!

I received this kettle for Christmas from my mum, so I haven't been using it long! I've had it a few weeks, but I use my kettle about 20 times a day to make cups of tea or my babies bottles, so have used it plenty over the last two weeks! I saw this kettle in Dunelm Mill, and loved it when out shopping with my mum, so I'm glad she remembered which one I wanted! A few weeks before Christmas, there was a strange noise in my old kettle, like there was a screw loose so I was in need of a new kettle! I have got it in plum, which is a gorgeous deep purple colour, which goes with the purple in my ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks fabulous, Boils very fast, Easy to handle, Reliable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite loud, Limescale issues on the outside

When my old (and rather basic) kettle broke about a year and a half ago, I went on the hunt for a new and improved one. My kitchen is pretty quirky and I wanted a kettle with some character to fit in. I decided on the Morphy Richards Accents 43772 Kettle. The thing which initially attracted me to this kettle was the look of it (along with the fact it's made by Morphy Richards who are generally a reliable brand). It's short, chunky, 'pyramid' shaped, red (I do believe other colours are available) with chrome spout and lid. It has a large handle on top and looks pretty retro. It's certainly a ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks good, 360 swivel base, fast boiling

Disadvantages Disadvantages A little loud, short cable

I've recently been updating all of the small appliances in my kitchen, my old ones were cheap, basic appliances as when I first moved into my first home I was quite badly strapped for cash. My old kettle was an Asda Smartprice one and although it did boil eventually, it was three years old and looked a little tatty. I bought a Morphy Richards toaster and thought the kettle in the same colour looked great so went ahead and bought it. The Morphy Richards is available to buy from many retailers of small kitchen appliances such as Argos, Debenhams and Amazon to name a few. They vary quite widely ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks great, works quickly and quietly, easy to clean.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive.

Due to a moving-day mishap, our recently-purchased kettle - a similar model to this one - only had a short life. Its corpse is still sitting in the shed, sadly apparently unfixable. Back in the day, they'd have given it a buff-up, popped in a couple of replacement pieces and it'd have been back to life ... but we were told it'd be cheaper to buy a new kettle than to try repairing the old one. What's the world coming to, eh? When this were all fields, etc ... Anyway, we figured we were perfectly happy with the Morphy Richards model we'd bought - at least until it got dropped on its head from a ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks, quick boil, long cord

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Loud boil, expensive

We recently treated ourselves to a brand new shiny red kettle (Morphy Richards 43772). Our old one had well and truly died on us and this bright red one caught my eye. Initially my hubby tried to put me off, saying that £39.99 was far too expensive when we could buy a simple white plastic jug style kettle for about a quarter of the price, but I dug my heels in and it looks great on our kitchen counter. This kettle came in a wide choice of lovely bright colours to choose from but I really liked the look of the shiny red one. I loved the shape of this kettle immediately as it’s wider at the ... more

4 Stars My lovely new kettle! Review with images 04/09/2012
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages A great design, fast boiling, makes a deliciously fresh hot drink

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very noisy while in use

When my beloved illuminated kettle went to appliance heaven I hadn't really got a replacement in mind - Mark had made the stipulation that our new kettle was not to be a light-up model (citing electricity costs nowadays and muttering about people who don't think about the bills) and it wasn't to cost too much money. Our previous kettle cost £90 and as a wannabe thrifty person (living with me?!) this was absolutely shocking to him. I set about browsing Amazon one night and immediately fell in love with this Morphy Richards Pyramid kettle; available in a range of colours, my eye was instantly ... more

Morphy Richards 43775 I have always like the old style kettles and when I saw this one, I just had to have it, I will be honest and say it didn’t match anything in the kitchen, but hey it looked posh. =The Kettle= The first thing I will say the kettle is of excellent quality, and it very well built, the body, lid, handles and spout are made of metal. The kettle is cordless, and fits onto a base to heat, the kettle has a 1.5 litre capacity, and a 3kw raid boil function, which is noticeable, it feels as soon as you have put the kettle on its boiled, which is great. =The Water Gauge= This is ... more

    Advantages Advantages Looks good

Disadvantages Disadvantages Tricky to fill and awkward to check the water level

Domestic appliances are contrary little so-and-sos and they know when to give up the ghost. Somehow they always choose the most inconvenient of times. Our old kettle chose to stop working when we had a houseful of visitors a few months ago so my husband was dispatched to find a replacement and came home with this nifty little red number – the Morphy Richards Accents 'Traditional Kettle' model number 43772. Unlike many people who seem to deliberate at length over which model to buy, our purchase was purely based on necessity and zero research. Why did my husband choose this one? I suspect ... more

Advantages Advantages Well designed and stylish.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Trying to update our new kitchen, we decided that we needed a new kettle, and looking in the likes of Argos, Amazon and various department stores, it soon become apparent that kettles seem to come in every shape and size imaginable, from a cost of only a few pounds for a value model to ‘the sky’s the limit’ price ranges for the Rolls Royce versions with go faster stripes that could possibly self fill, boil and pour the water for you. But this Morphy Richards version did catch our eye. A lot of kettles nowadays seem to be the standard white plastic or plain stainless steel finish. But this one ... more

    Advantages Advantages Quick Boil, Stylish

Disadvantages Disadvantages Broken Switch After Few Uses

After redecorating my kitchen, I bought this kettle to go with my other Morphy Richards Accents products such as microwave, toaster and tea, coffee and sugar pots. I chose this kettle as it was super stylish and such a lovely rich red colour, which is metallic and it really adds the wow factor to my kitchen! However, I rarely use the kettle as I don't drink hot drinks and only use it when my parents come over or I have guests, yet, after few uses the switch to turn the kettle on to boil is VERY temperamental. The material feels cheap and flimsy and sometimes I have to fiddle about with it for ... more
