    Advantages Advantages Given that my phone line still hasn't been fixed after 2 months... I cant think of a thing!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad Customer Service. Incompetent technicians (they sacked one) and they don't always turn up.

    Virgin Media provide the WORST customer service I've ever experienced!!! My phone stopped working on the 2nd of July when they came round to fix our cable TV. It is now the 17th September and after several promises that someone will come round to reconnect our phone, nothing has been done! Each time they don't turn up it takes another 2 weeks till the next available appointment. When someone does turn up... well funny enough they give me a new appointment and tell me ironically that my phone isn't working!!! I'm absolutely stuck! Finding another provider means paying new connections fees ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages sometime internet get slower than usual

    i have been with virgin media now for about 8 months. i am very pleased of their service i got a landline plus medium size broadband. calls are cheap, internet sometimes get slower than usual and sometimes it stop working for couple of hours if there is a technical problem in the area. the staff i spoken with have very high customer service skills and always happy to help you. i have never got any billing mistake and overall i think their service is good and cheap. i have recomended my sister to get virgin media services and she will get it by end of this month. i myself order it for her ... more

    i have the full package with ntl now virgin media. although i am not sure why. my bills are always incorrect and not sligtly wrong either usually between 10 and 100 pounds wrong. i have had the same package for over a year for the fixed price of 45 pounds i dont think i have ever had a bill for that amount. thats the first thing, the second, you phone up and speak to a polite employee who procedes to tell you that they dont have the power or facilities to access you bill details, therefore placing you on hold. after aproxx 20 mins you are finally sorted, so my conclusion with ntl/virgin media ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages EVERYTHING! Poor service from the internet & it's staff

    God help you if you need an engineer to come out & actually turn up! 3 times they let me down & tried to say i wasn't booked in etc! Dreadful customer service from the service engineers lady supervisor to the idiot supervisor that turn up at my property after his engineer trampled all over my flowers to check my cable on my land for my neighbours without even asking to enter my property! Complaints put in writing to OFTEL, turned out to be a watse of time since the engineers lied about trampling my flowers saying they slipped (it was a drought at the time so had a water hoe ban!).     Up until a year ago, I had been with NTL when I was in Aldershot. When I moved to Sheffield I transferred the number to Telewest (I think their the same really) and the service wasn't too bad at all. Well I would have to say it was completely faultless really as I didn't have to contact them at all in the beginning. The internet service was fantastic, never had a problem at all with that service. The phone was great no problems there either. The television package with them was great way back when.     I HAVE HAD AN NTL PHONE FOR A YEAR. A PART FROM NEVER GETTING A CORRECT BILL, THE PHONE WORKED FINE. WITHIN DAYS OF VIRGIN MEDIA TAKING OVER - MY PHONE IS OUT OF ORDER. HAVING PAID MY DD NO SERVICE. I PHONED THE CUSTOMER SERVICES SPOKE TO A LOVELY MAN IN INDIA WHO ASKED ME TO "SLOW DOWN" AS HE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND ME. THREE REQUESTS FOR A CALL DIVERT TO CUSTOMER SERVICES FAILS. IT TOOK OVER 15 MINUTES TO GET THROUGH TO THE DEPARTMENT THAT DEALS WITH FAULTY PHONES.     Advantages Advantages you can have three services (phone, television and internet) with one provider and on one bill

    Disadvantages Disadvantages the customer service is beyond poor, the billing is rarely correct and the company are making no attempt to sort this out.

    I switched over to NTL in 2002 because I moved home and wanted all three services and at the time BT were a bit behind the times and offering lower grade services than those of NTL. From the point of joining the customer services were at best a joke! Every time I rang the customer service team, which was much more often than you would expect because of the poor service, I was subjected to long waits and being passed around advisors like a parcel at a kids birthday party, basically because the advisors were seemingly either incapable or unwilling to do their jobs competently.     I switched over to NTL in 2003 from BT when i saw a leaflet about the phone and tv package for £30 a mth, with calls to landlines being free all day for up to an hour which to me was great, but after only having the sevice for 3 mths, i noticed on my itemised bills that i was being charged for ringing local numbers even though i was paying alittle extra line rental for them to be free, i rang customer service, and it was all sorted and that was that, then a year later i ordered the basic broadband from them, costing £17:99 a mth, installed it etc no problem, everything was working fine and i ... more

    Whenever I have had to report my phone line as being faulty or query my account it has taken at least 20 minutes to get through to Customer Service. This delay has only been acceptable because the waiting time is free because the number you dial is 0800. Now from 8th MAY 2006 NTL propose to change this to an 0845 number and charge at lo-call rates. This is a disgraceful state of affairs as it means that the longer NTL keep you waiting on line the more money they are making out of you !!
