I bought this headset for my husband for Christmas. It retails in the UK for about £80 but I managed to get it for £60 when it was on a special deal on Amazon, so it is worth waiting and looking out for better deals across the net. I own a PS3 that's connected to a decent, mid range, surround sound system. The system isn't an out of the box one, it's a dedicated AV receiver with a Sony 5.1 speaker package that I put together in a specialist audio supplier store. So as you can imagine, it cost a good few hundred pounds and it sounds rather nice, especially with the high definition gaming that the PS3 offers.In my view you're really missing out if you have your PS3 hooked up to an HD TV but do nothing with the sound. I preordered mine from Overstock.com for $75.00 including S&P.I received them on 9/9/11 because they would not ship them out till the actual release date. Appearance First Impressions out of the box were pretty favorable. The headset is very lightweight probably because other than the earpads themselves it is 100% plastic.
