Advantages Advantages Well built, stylish, nice label, works very, very well

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too many settings - just something missing

I was lured to this camera by the Leica branded lense and smart black casing. Underneath this sytlish exterior lies an excellent camera, with build quality and functions that are beyond what I expected from the price. I bougt it after spending ages searching the internet and was finally convinved when I found that the very, very similar Leica branded model was more than twice the £106 price tag of this one. The camera is a good weight, light enough to be compact, heavy enough to be stable in hand. Funcionality is good, though some of the menus are a little idiosincratic - there are a vast ... more

Advantages Advantages Everything, features, picture standard, easiness of use, light, compact, stylish, generally awesome!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

When I first got this camera for my birthday last year, i thought 'oh jees, it looks complicated!' But then after using it for about 10 minutes I grasped all the ways of changing settings and understood it really easily! You definitely don't need to be a technology geek to figure this camera out, even if somebody as thick as a brick could use this camera no problem! The camera is stylish, compact and not heavy, and if travelling and you need the adaptor, this is also small and light. An excellent feature on this camera is the shutter - the speed automatically changes to suit whether you are ... more

Advantages Advantages Solid, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not so many manual controls

I'm really enjoying this camera! I would truely recommend this to any amateur photographers just starting out. It is the ultimate in point and click cameras. The design (in black) is attractive and its metal body feels solid and comfortable in the hand. The first thing that will strike you is the giant 3 inch LCD display on the back, which gives great resolution and colour to pictures, especially useful if you're the kind of person who likes to leave lots of photos on the camera to show your friends! Being a Panasonic Lumix means it uses a high quality Leica lense which is 28mm wide angle ... more

Advantages Advantages Small and light, OIS technology, lots of ISOs, long life Li-ion rechargeable battery

    Disadvantages Disadvantages 3.6x Optical zoom

Hello, I wasted tons of time looking for "the perfect digital camera", but the search just stopped with the lumix Fx55eb. Lumix called my attention with its optical image stabilizer technology (mega O.I.S.) which fight against blurred images, this tech compensate for handshake and movement of the subject, amazing!. Try it walking, running or riding a motorcycle and no more blurred picture. Another point is the camera got 7 ISOs, that's mean you can use it with any kind of light; have you seen a picture where the person got all the flash and the background is dark??, not anymore, with the auto ... more

Advantages Advantages amazing quality pictures, great iso

Disadvantages Disadvantages camera case may be a little bulky

I was looking for a camera that would be good enough to take to concerts. i was recommended this one , and being a fan of going to concerts this one is perfect! Normally the light in a dark place makes the photos dark with so many shoot modes you can choose to get the perfect balance I went to see take that and as they are moving a lot, a normal camera would come out blury. but the ISO of up to 1600 kicks in leaving no blurry images, and great shots of the band. The zoom is amazing, i was right in the middle of the arena and still got good images of the stage with the zoom. The video function ... more

Advantages Advantages Smal and compact. Great picture Quality.

Disadvantages Disadvantages screen can be rather difficult to see.

I recently bought this camera as an upgrade for my more older 3MP camera, and i was very stunned by its quality of pictures. its boasts a stunning 3 inch LCD screen, which is just perfect for a camera of this size. the camera comes with a leica lens capable of shooting beautifull wide angle pictures. This Camera only weighs only 143 grams. The camera is a great entry level camera and is great for taking those everyday pictures. At full image resolution the camera has an average ISO of around 1600, alowing darker pictures to be more clear. i would recomend this camera to anyone looking to ... more

Advantages Advantages Sexy, powerful, incredibly easy-to-use, challenging, with amazing new features

Disadvantages Disadvantages No carry case, no viewfinder, slowish zoom, short self-timer

I wish I was a beginner again so that I could justify buying this camera. Reader, I want it. It's pretty. It's sexy. I bang on and on about how a camera should be an investment, should grow with you and shouldn't be purchased because it's Pretty Like The Fujifilm Ones, but this is gorgeous. And fortunately, the Lumix DMC-FX55 has brains to back up its beauty. =THE BODY SPECS= DIMENSIONS: Small, as you'd expect from the Lumic FX series. Weighs 143g (not phenomenally light, but not heavy at all), measures 9.5 x 5.7 x 2.3 cms. LOOK: Sexy, as I've said. Brushed silver look OR glossy black/silver ... more
