Peugeot 206 1.1

I have been driving a courtesy car for the last week, while my car has been in the bodyshop following an unfortunate prang up the backside (not my fault I hasten to add). I was somewhat disappointed to find that the garage in question thought that it would be a good idea to swap my 7-seater VW Touran for a 3 door Peugeot 206. Nonetheless, I would have had to wait several more days for them to source a bigger courtesy car, and I admit that I was seduced by the shiny gold metallic paint and sleek, sporty profile. I've had my 206 for 3 and a half years now. On the whole, it's been a good car, apart from some niggly problems with the electrics. The car itself is pretty small, there's not a lot of leg room in the back seat, although the boot is fairly spacious. However, being short, I find the pedals are ideal, but those taller than me complains about the short space between the pedals and the seats. It's a easy car to drive, and a smooth ride. After saving up for quite some time I bought myself my ideal car, a 206. I bought it privately and it was great for the first month. After a month the car started revving up by itself, at first it was only occasionally untill it got worse and would speed up when I was driving it ,once even pulling onto a round a bout nearly causing an accident. I went to peugeot and they said it was a minor problem and they would fix it and get back to me. I bought a 51 plate peugeot 206 brand new. I had wanted one for ages as I really liked the style and shape of the car, However after having had my car for about three months the airbag light came on. I took it in to my local peugeot dealer and they fixed it, they said one of the probes had come loose on the airbag. The car was fine for another 2 months and then the airbag light came on again so I took it back to the same dealer and it was repaired. I bought my Peugeot 206 1.1 over a year ago and fell in love with it - it ran perfectly (except for the passenger seat breaking - but that seems to happen to them all!)... Then after about 11 months i was driving along, and the engine diagnostics light came on and it juddered as i pulled off from the roundabout, then about 1 minute later it cut out in the middle of the dual carriage way, the speed at which is stopped was hair-raising and incredibly dangerous. My wife bought a 206 from a main dealer that was only one year old, the car itself was an 02 reg 3 door hatch. The car itself looked lovelly, painted in british racing green, It had dual airbags, tinted windows, electric windows, and air cond. After a few days I borrowed the car and realised how horrible it was to drive. Im 5'8" which to me is not tall, yet i bang my head every time i get in and out of the thing. This car was bought new in 2004, initially we were very pleased with it. It was not long however until we had problems with it and most of the problems were not covered in the three year warranty. At the last count we are on or fourth radiator, an expensive replacement with peugeot unable to give any explanation as to what causes this problem. There have had to be many things replaced on this car already and its only three years old, I'd expect to replace these thing on an older car! i bought my peugeot 2 years ago as there woz a 0% interest offer on at the time.....well...where do i start...it went bak within the week for a small headlight problem...it woz letting condensation in, it had to have a new airbox because the standard 1 just became loose. the gear box in these cars is awful, the is a loud clunk to be heard when goin from gear to gear....any gears....even with relatively loud music it is audible. the only upside...is the styling....the exterior is a work of art and has truly become a benchmark of peugeots, the interior however, is a bit boring, nothing fancy or ... more
