Be warned, PIT is not a game to play if you’ve just put your kids to bed and are hoping they’ll sleep, if you don’t want to disturb the neighbours or if you’ve lost your voice, as it involves a lot of shouting. If there is a reasonable group of you, four players and upwards, and you want to break the ice - play Pit. Essentially a simple card game that involves collecting cards representing different commodities e.g. Barley, Rye, Wheatetc. The first player to get a complete set wins. However, in Pit there are no turns, no orderly picking up and throwing out of cards and no quiet contemplation of your hand. Pit is perhaps one of the best card games i have ever played. The simplicity is excellent for partys but I wouldnt recomend playing with people under 8 as it might just go way over there heads despit it being a generally simple game. the main aim of the game is to collect a set (9cards) of one product e.g. Barley, Rye, Wheat tc. The first player to get a complete set wins. If it doesnt sound to ineresting yet then this next part will definatly change your mind.
