    Disadvantages Disadvantages Take money regardless of T's & C's, slow order processing times, slowest delivery ever, if at all!

    Ordered three cd's from Play.com who now as Rakuten seems to be just a 'shop front' for any amateur supplier. The biog and terms and conditions were as follows:- Normally shipped with 24 hours, items from suppliers in USA delivered in 8-14 days, no money taken until shipped. cd 1 - delivered in just over a week -good! cd 2 - confirmed shipped next day, money taken. New email sent a week later to say it had just been shipped. Queried and was told that it took a week to process and the first email was a lie!     I am getting fed up with online companies selling inferior goods to the unsuspecting public. Be warned now, you can't see the product beforehand so don't believe everything you read. I have bought from Play.com before but Bought a brand new CD, (Pink - Greatest Hits) and it didn't come in its original case - just a paper sleeve. I bought it as a present and my mum wasn't too impressed, she thought I had got it second hand off of eBay!!     I bought a book from play.com 6 weeks ago, which I never received. The seller has not responded to a single one of my emails. I have tried to get the refund from play.com. using their online form gets no response. I tried calling them on their ridiculously expensive 0845 number, holding on the line for 15 minutes before getting through to an agent, only to be told that I will need to wait a further 3 working days and on the fourth working day I will get a refund.     I went on to play.com to buy an Irish rugby jersey. It was advertised on the site for €29.99 yet once it went into the cart it was €74.49. I got in contact with their customer service to bring it to their attention. they denied there was any problem and said that it was due to security on my computer. I told them there was no way this was the case as i have tried it on a three computers. They still claimed nothing was wrong. Mysteriously though it was fixed then!     I brought a product from via Play Trade from a seller there inoot/GamesNGadgets. After placing the order I found out that it was not the product advertised. It was advertised as an original Xbox charger but then after placing the order I was told it was a compatible only - which was not what was wanted. I tried to cancel the order immediately. However cancellation Emails were ignored - eventually I got this message back from iNoot - someone supposedly called shahid shabbir.     I ordered a SD card from them as they were on promotion on 15th February 2012. After 5 days of not hearing from them as to whether the item had been dispatched I logged into my account to check what had been happening. Unfortunately I had not realised that my credit card details saved were an old card. I was suprised that I had not had an email from Play informing me that the card was not accepted, but I added a new card and the payment went through on the 21st February 2012.     I purchased a V and M Adam Cot bed from Play.com on 3rd January 2012 and after reciving the delivery it arrived damaged! I asked for a return and after them supplying me with 3 days of collection, eventually they collected the item. It took 2 weeks to replace the item which again arrive DAMAGED! I have had to wait for 28 days for this cot bed with my baby due any day and whenever i speak to Play, they advise me to carry this heavy cot to my post office to return or have the item delivered to my work address again where i would have to carry this heavy item.     I purchased Xbox game Batman, Arkham Asylum from Play.com before xmas. I opted for free delivery. The item never arrived. I contacted the customer services and I was told to wait for 21 days before reporting the item as missing! I obliged! After 21 days when I contacted them I was told to fill the online form which I did! I never received an email confirmation that my missing order will be resend!     I purchased a play station for my sons Christmas. Two weeks after they had taken my money and stated that the item had been despatched I still had not received the item. The courier had never received it. After days of contacting their hopeless customer service department by phone, they confirmed that they had no idea where the item was.
