    Driving a 2006 Megan Sedan 1.9 dci which is approaching it's 60000 service. Love the car, with that torque it make town driving fun. Handling a pleasure with excellent breaking system, still running on the original Michelin tyres. Some gripes : 1) Interior beige colour, one gets used to it but durability is not good. I have had both interior door handle replaced and still the colour comes off leaving a black base. The colour on the drivers seat is also showing the undercoat.     Great car, on average getting about 43 miles per gallon. With 6 gears this car is a great cruiser, manages higher speeds very easily. The quietest diesel ive driven. The interior is awesome, the seats are like a memory foam, very comfortable, and are great on long journeys. all the interior accessories are well design and placed, lots of in car gadgets and storage - secret storage under floor mats if u need to stash anything.... ive owned my megane for 4 months now, not a single problem, very satisfied customer. overall - top class car best value for money in its type, very safe (good if u ... more

    I have owned the Megane Sport 1.9dci now for a year and a half, and have had a lot of problems with it. 3 weeks after buying it, the exhaust fell off then I've had consistent problems with the handbrake, there is a constant knocking noise but the dealer cant find anything wrong with it and also the electric windows seem to keep failing. On the plus side, its a very economical car, the ride is good, and it cruises happily at 90mph+. Another plus side is the fact that the Sport has 17" alloy wheels which make it stand out from the standard diesel models and it the suspension is a touch lower too ... more

    The first thing that drew me to the Renault megane, where in my opinions its striking good looks. Unfortunatly not everyone agrees. The looks of this car are a bit like marmite...you ever love them or you hate them. One thing for shure is this car does stand out a lot! And looks extremely good in Black! I like this car because I think it is fairly exclusive, there don't seem to be that many of them around, compared to its rivals liek the focus, golf and astra.     I HAVE COVERED 59,000MILES IN 17 MONTHS FROM NEW !! SO FAR REPLACED 2 FRONT WINDSCREEN, 1 SET OF TYRES AND 1 FRONT BRAKE PADS. NO BREAKDOWN YET!! IT HAS BEEN VERY RELIABLE. DROVE EUROPE AND UK AND CAN BE HAPPY UPTO 110mph. IF YOU DON'T PUSH THE CAR IT IS VERY ECONOMICAL. IN TIGHT CORNERS IT CAN GET A LITTLE CHOPPY RIDE AND ABS WILL GET ROUGH IN TIGHT CORNERS TOO.     this year i started to drive, got my license since i turned 18. and this megane is the first car after drivingschool that i drove. This is a 2001 megane 1.9dti 80hp sportwagon expression.mine had done almost 150.000km , of those here in Serbia just 5000. it drives like a dream. it was cheap and cramped with equipment such as fog lights, electric control of mirrors, 6 speaker stereo with remote display, remote control of stereo near the steering column, AC, all 4 power windows, adjustable wheel and also power steering and ABS, etc... the power steering could be more powerful though you would ... more

    My car is a 53reg with about 20,000 miles on it. I got it about 4-5 months ago after my 206 took a dive into a ditch on some snow. Oops. I love this car. it's the 120bhp dCi. I can't say enough good things about it. i drive like a normal keen 20 something and I still get 42-45mpg! 30 quid will do me for 300 miles easy and with my driving that is amazing. my 1.1 pug 206 couldn't do that. I went from Brighton to Bluewater and averaged 78mph (no small feat) up the motorway and it was smooth and quiet and returned 47mpg!     I have the privilege of having a Megane 1.9 dci for a company car for the last 2 years or so and have to say that overall it has been an enjoyable experience. It's a great little mover, holds the road well and the 6 gears help to improve both the drive and the fuel economy. One of the many perks of having it as a company car is that it doesn't look like the typical stereo type of one plus it can really shift if you're late for an appointment!     I chose the 1.9dci back in 2003 as my next company car. I had it fully loaded and I must admit that at the price Renault charge for some of the really nice things, was easily achievable. The interior is still one of the best in this size car. I opted for the black leather option and I was certainly not dissapointed. Although the Dash is a little too much plastic for my taste, they have not skimpt on the leather coverage.     With the sincerest of apologies to those more sensitive among you for the rather shocking title of my latest review, but I do not claim to be the instigator of the link between the human posterior and the Megane's rear end - Renault's advertising agency have already introduced that theme for me in their TV adverts for some time now. You can hardly have failed to have seen that provocative "shake your arse" ad, accompanied by some fairly gratuitously suggestive lyrics.
