Sainsbury's Basics Curry Sauce

I think it was on Peazyshop forum where I first heard about the amazing low price of Sainsburys curry sauce. People were saying that it was costing them just 9p for a jar of the stuff. Wow! 9p!!! Of course, I demanded that hubby take me to Sainsburys the very next day so I could stock up on the stuff. After all even if it wasn't great, at 9p I'd be getting something edible and jars for when I did my next lot of preserving too. After seeing this item discussed on the internet i thought i had to get myself some, that is of course, Sainsbury's Curry Sauce Basics. I heard about this on a forum and people were saying it was 4p but in actual fact its now 9p (inflation huh!?) which is still amazing. I checked before buying this product that i wasn't going to get anything artificial and luckily the only thing it contains thats "bad" is 1 preservative, but thats not the end of the world! The jar is like all of Sainsbury's Basics range, white with orange writing. The description is "Simpler selection but the spice is right." ... more
