Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life not great

Mobile phones sadly have a torrid time in my hands. My last phone was a Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 which I owned for approximately 3 months until last weekend. Despite its solid appearance it was really no match for the taxi car door that I slammed into it (the phone fell out of my pocket just as I was closing the door) If Samsung ever need design ideas for a banana shaped phone they should get in touch with me. When I did manage to get the pieces of the phone together, I was hopeful that the shattered screen would at least offer a convincing image of Jesus that I could run to the Daily Mail with ... more

I wanted a new phone but didn't dare ask my Other Half for one for Christmas as I had already asked for a new Laptop. I was thinking that I would buy myself one after Christmas in the sales. My Other Half's phone had gone wrong so he was also looking for a new phone, we have always had PAYG mobiles but he thought he would try to get a contract phone as it would work out cheaper so he applied online for one but didn't hear back from them so thought they had turned him down so he went and bought a new phone from a shop. Then the next day he heard that they had accepted him for the contract phone ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Difficult to use, slow

I recently wrote a review of my lovely new iPhone 4 which I really loved. Not as much as my 3gs, but I wouldn’t have been without it. The iPhone 4 was a replacement phone for my 3GS which I had stolen out of may hand by a thug on a bike as I walked down the street. I duly claimed on my house insurance and got the 4. Then, about three months later, my all singing all dancing phone was taken from a pub table by some crafty people right under my friend’s nose. I then decided that at £500 a pop, I could not have a new iPhone until I could be a responsible adult and look after one properly. So off ... more

Advantages Advantages Good Camera, Wide Range of Apps, Good Signal

Disadvantages Disadvantages Insensitive Touch Screen, Slow Running Of Apps

The Samsung Galaxy Y is designed for younger users. It provides a fun and easy-to use experience for younger phone users. But along with being good for younger users it is also good for older users who are not very experienced with current technology. It is an all-round decent phone with a lot of good features, but it doesn’t provide a lot for more serious phone users, and there are a lot of small problems with this phone. Design The Samsung Galaxy Y is a very stylish phone. It shares a similar design to that of the rest of the phones in the Samsung Galaxy range, but the edges are smoother and ... more

    3 Stars Y, indeed? 27/05/2013

Advantages Advantages Looks good, all the basic features.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Small screen.

High-end this isn't - although it could just about pass for a top-notch smart phone (notwithstanding its diminutive size), this is very much the entry-level end of the market. With the same basic stylings as the higher-level models in the Samsung Galaxy series, this certainly ticks the visual boxes - it's neat, functional, sleek - so good first impressions are made. A quick play around with the Y, however, shows up its deficiencies. Of course, it's worth qualifying this - you pay proportionately for what you're (not) getting. I - like most of the phone's owners, I imagine - got the handset ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap, easy to use, durable, lightweight,

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life only lasts around a day, but charging overnight takes little time

I was very impressed even by the specification of the phone for the price I bought it for, not least when I opened the box. From my point of view, the look of the phone is fantastic: a perfect size and weight with the look of a smaller iPhone. When showing my friends, many commented how that that is the sort of phone they wanted, many having a blackberry, and when I stated the cost, they could not believe that I had got so much for my money. This was from the age range of 18-21. The touch screen is easy to use, even commented on by my friends, and I am always finding easier short cuts or ways ... more

Advantages Advantages Sync your facebook contacts with your phone and has GPS.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Low-volume speaker.

I have been using Galaxy Y for almost a month now. I can say, it's worth the money paid. At first, I felt it's not user friendly. After a few weeks, I finally saw the beauty of this phone. Well, I don't know much about android phones so I really do not know if the features I'm going to state are innate in an Android phones but I am going to state them anyway.First thing I love about this phone is that you have a different kind of security lock. It can use patterns instead of numbers as a pass-code. So if a friend is trying to see how to unlock my phone, he will see how but I can prevent him ... more

Advantages Advantages Simple to use, good size great for communicating everywhere i go

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Limited battery

My previous experiences with phones have been a disaster. But then i got given this phone and its been brilliant. Its simple and easy to use the touch screen is responsive and the images clear. I can text quickly with it and read back over my hole history with the contact using the conversation setting similar to a internet chat window. Really useful. I do not like that their is no resend button in messaging so if a message does not send you must retype it. I have enjoyed being able to access the internet where ever i go and find the wi fi connections and internet pages easy to use on this ... more

Advantages Advantages Stylish, easy to use, lots of cool apps

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes freezes, turns off, and works extra slow

My contract was due for renewal and I wanted a new phone with an incentive. I always get my contracts from mobiles.co.uk - its a great site that allows you to get cashback, laptops, t.v, xboxs etc when you take out a mobile contract. Yes you may pay slightly more for the contract but at the time 400.00 quid or a laptop doesn't seem to bad - especially when you can knock your contract down after 6 months! Any way.... I've had the phone now for about 6 months - initially I love it!! Has some really good features and being an android smartphone it allows you to download apps - similiar to an ... more

This is the first Samsung Android device I have used and it runs with the Gingerbread operating system. I have been using this phone for about one year and haven't had any problems with it. The battery still lasts several days and doesn't seem to have degraded with time. Even if playing games, browsing online or making long phone calls the battery life is impressive. The phone is compact and very easy to use, however, due to its small size, some features are difficult to utilize unless you have tiny fingers! The camera is ok for taking everyday photos but doesn't have flash or other features ... more
