Advantages Advantages Good sound! Small! Clips on!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing!

I do a lot of singing and so it is important that I have my own equipment. Whilst I had a P.A system, speakers and a microphone etc, I didn’t have anything to play the music on. Most of the singers I know use laptops, but as I don’t have a laptop (only a desktop), I didn’t really want to fork out around £300-£400 just for the sake of playing music. So when I heard that some people use ‘mp3’ players, I decided to give this Sandisk Sansa mp3 player a go. The mp3 player is very small…it’s like the size of a matchbox and very light. It’s so small that it is quite easy to drop, but luckily because ... more

    Advantages Advantages Infinitely expandable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a multifunction device, no cover for connectors & card

I love sandisk products. When I was looking for something to replace my aging 2Gig Sansa clip, I briefly thought of other brands - until I saw the 8Gb clip. Having had the 8Gb clip for a good while now, I can safely say I have never regretted the purchase. Sound quality is still as good as ever (although the maximum volume doesn't seem as high as in previous models - so probably not such a good product for noisy rail journeys and ryanair flights, don't know why but they seem to be louder than most other airlines). Bass is still pretty decent. Even better, if you take advantage of the fact that ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to use, tiny, lots to offer(music wise) and a great price for what you get

Disadvantages Disadvantages no external speaker but so what, that's what makes it personal

Do you remember the old days? The time when your only chance of listening to music on the move was to carry your stereo around with you, taking all its weight in your shoulders, the stereos speakers booming out your personal choice of music whilst annoying everyone around you. Then came the personal walkman, starting with a tape that usually chewed up when you moved, then they gave us the CD version, which jumped more times than a kangaroo on hot sand. So when they realised that the tapes and CD’s weren’t that much of a bright idea they came up with an idea that would allow people to move ... more

Advantages Advantages clip is great, Great sound quality, radio, cheap

    Disadvantages Disadvantages slightly weak clip.

What do you think of when you think of a music player? a shiny ipod? or a less fashionable but great budget sansa sandisck clip+? The sansa is a brilliant mp3 player that ranges in the £20 - £40 for a 1gb, 2gb, 4gb, or an 8gb model each one able to have enchanced memory buy a standard micro sd card.(the one in most phones) Of course the main feature that everyone looks for in an mp3 is the sound quality. The sound on the Sansa is near perfect sounding warm and clear. It is even better than most of the ipods i have used in my opinion! It comes with a unremovable clip (can be snapped off) but ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheap and cheerful

Disadvantages Disadvantages perhaps not the best looking

We've still got 1 of these in our house although it now doesn't get used since we have graduated to the Ipod Touch, IPhone side. This was and still is a good media player. To look at it I don't think it looks nice, and perhaps looks a bit cheap, but it's what's inside that counts remember. We got this out of Argos probably about 10 months ago. I think this cost around £60 but I could be wrong. This is tiny and it can clip onto your Belt or Belt Loop no problem. It's quite thin as well, so you shouldn't worry about knocking this and it falling off either. The Clip is quite deep as well. This is ... more

Advantages Advantages Expandable storage, small, plays music, no frills

Disadvantages Disadvantages Searching for a particular song can be labourous

Firstly, let me just say that I'm not much of a fan of Apple products for one main reason - you pay a premium for something that you can get with other brands who do it better. I wanted a music player that was small and had enough storage space for my collection. Step up the Sansa Clip +. Apple's equivalent is probably the Shuffle for the same price and purpose. However, what you get with the Sansa Clip is 8GB of storage and a microSD slot for the option to expand to even more. The Sansa Clip is small and feels sturdy enough, and as the name suggests, has a clip. As a music player, it does ... more

    Advantages Advantages Price, size, features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Build quality, customer service

This mp3 player is very well-priced and has all the features you should need. What I found very useful is the bookmark feature on audio-books; this means that you can pause an audio-book, listen to a few musical tracks and then return where you left off. It also supports FLAC which is useful and the menu is very easy to navigate. Personally, if I had the extra money I would have just bought an Ipod, however, as an alternative this is a lot better priced and has almost all of the functionality that I need (I do not plan to watch films whilst jogging). The issue I have had with it is that the ... more

Advantages Advantages Big detailed sound, lots of features, lots of volume, the price

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only to be bought as a present for someone else if you have a better one

I recently purchased one of these mp3 players for my mum having noticed it in the Argos Catalgoue. Having owned an mp3 player for the last year I have quickly took to the benefits of having hundreds or indeed thousands of songs at your fingertips. When the player arrived, I was surprised at just how small this player is, it looked unassuming and compact on the illustration but was not expecting something so miniature. When my mum listened to it she was very impressed and so at that point I wanted to hear it for myself. Firstly the mp3 player has a nice design and layout, it is easy to navigate ... more

great little mp3 player!excellent battery life with an absolutely cracking memory for a great price. i paid about £60 for mine online and its the 8gb version. battery lasts forever, especially as i use it as the mp3 player for my car sterio with the volume up full and shuffle on constantly, think the last time i charged it was about 3 weeks ago! for such a small device, the battery is second to none. not too easy to use windows media as i used to have an ipod so had gotten used to itunes, but once i figured it out twas all dandy. you have some great added features with windows media such as ... more

    Advantages Advantages small, lightweight, stylish

Disadvantages Disadvantages USB charged, keeps hiding at the bottom of my bag.

I have a pet hate when it comes to Ipods, so when my old MP3 player finally gave up the ghost I replaced it with this sandisc sansa clip 8GB. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and it's proving to be a handy little device. It is small, good looking, lightweight and holds a fair amount of music. Setup was easy (just plug into a computer and go), with a good 'drag and drop' option for transferring files. The fact that it's compatible with Windows Media Player is also a bonus. The menu is basic, but still clear to read, and radio is as good at the one on my mobile and the controls are easy to ... more
