Advantages Advantages Seeing Paul Heyman's shocked face at the end

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I didn't actually see this on sky, i borrowed a video off one of my brother's friends and i'm so glad i did because the quality of this pay-per-view was outstanding. Not only did it end in the elimination of WCW from the wrestling entertainment for good (hooray!) but it was filled with brilliant matches pitting the best in the business against each other. Starting with a match of Christian .vs. Al Snow wasn't the best move but as usual Christian showed his initiative and strength as he retained his title and gained a years work in the WWF. The mini battle royal was a treat and although the ... more

Advantages Advantages terrible storyline is over

Disadvantages Disadvantages a lot of great wrestlers are now out of work

November 18th was the day when the alliance died. When The Rock hit Stone Cold with a Rock bottom and covered him to keep the WWF in business. It'll be a shame not to see stars which we have just grown to love, DDP, Booker T, The Hurracaine to name a few. Other stars which we have lost that may or may not return such as Ivory (thank God!) are out of the jobs now which means the WWF can get started on a new start. RVD, Tazz, Test and the Dudleyz coming to the WWF though are a welcome addition because of their agility, strength and wit respectivly. and with Raw adding a few twists already after ... more

Advantages Advantages it gives you hours free futage of live pay - per every few months

Disadvantages Disadvantages doesn't give you the events when they are in england

i think that getting every single WWF pay-per view event in america for free is excelent. if you were in america you would have to pay $9.99 for every event. there is a free WWF pay - per view event on every few months or less. the only time you have to pay for WWF events is when they come to england and then it costs £14.00. so if it weren't for sky sports all the big WWF fans that wanted to see these special pay - per view events would probably have to pay £14.00 each time to watch it on sky box office also sky sports is the only channle that gives you all the WWF programming from america ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks to have some good matches

Disadvantages Disadvantages Y2J or The Rock looks set to turn into a heel

For those of you who follow wrestling you will understand everything I mention in this opinion, however for the readers who are not into sports entertainment I will have to give you some background information. Tonight, Sunday 21st October between 1 AM and 4 AM UK time, so I guess you could say it is on Monday, there is a pay-per-view WWF wrestling event called No Mercy. Despite the fact that it is called a Pay-Per-View, and the fact that Americans have to pay to watch it, No Mercy can be seen for free on Sky Sports 1. There will also be an encore presentation on Sky Sports 1 later in the week ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good Tournament.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Short Matches.

The “Countdown Show” opened up with Todd Pettingil telling you to order the event on PPV. Todd runs down the card also. A clip is shown from The Kings Court, from Raw, 3 weeks earlier, where Bret Hart has a face to face with Diesel and Shawn Micheals, ending with Bret Hart on the receiving end of a Jack-knife Powerbomb from Diesel and a stern kicking from Lawler. Pettingil does some more talking and continues promoting the PPV. Some footage of the qualifying matches are shown after that. The brackets were as follows: IRS JANNETTY MABEL QUEBECKER RAMON KWANG BIGELOW HOLLY JARRETT ... more

Advantages Advantages No advert breaks, No censorship

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

WWF Pay Per Views are shown on a monthly basis, as a climax to each of the major feuds that are created. Channel 4 bought the rights to four of these events a year and a half ago. One of these, the Royal Rumble, is one of the two most popular events in the year. It is safe to say that Channel 4 made a complete mess of this privilege, as the event was not televised well at all. There were adverts galore, censored scenes and the actual programme started an hour late. It was scandalous. Luckily for us fans who actually like to watch the monthly WWF Pay Per Views in all their glory, Sky have the ... more

Advantages Advantages Debut of The Worm and Kurt Angle, and the Hardy Boyz match

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Everything else

This may not be the correct place to put this op (the event is nearly 2 years old). This is possibly the worst WWF PPV I have ever seen. It wouldn't even have been a good episode of Raw Is War. Of the 10 matches, just 5 had clean endings. Honsestly, it is terrible. Just three matches could be considered half-decent; Kurt Angle VS Shawn Stasiak, during which the crowd started a boring chant despite it not actually being boring, Chyna VS Chris Jericho which had Chyna kick out of moves which had laid out the WWF Champion, mess up the ending, and do serious damage to Jerichos credibility, and The ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks to be a great PPV

Disadvantages Disadvantages None at the moment

WWF Unforgiven 23rd September Sky sports 1 1-4am Having never written a type of review that outlines a pay per view and explains what happened I an unsure as to how this is going to be seen, WWF is a matter of either you love it or you hate it, and I feel my review is going to be the same. I hope to explain what matches are going to take place, and also the reason for them taking place. Coming off Summerslam rivalrys have been pushed to the limits and tonight I feel quite a few will come to a head. Firstly a list of the matches. World Wrestling Federation Championship Stone Cold Steve Austin ... more

    Advantages Advantages Its Free!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The Timeslot

Pay Per View - let me break those 3 words down for you all; Pay - to pay would be to give your money in exchange for something you want or maybe don't want. Per - It means " Every " View - To see; look at the product. Now we look towards Sky Sports One who have seemingly defied the rules of " Pay Per View " in supplying to the me & the rest of the English free Pay Per Views, yes - what Americans would be emptying their piggy banks for we get for free; with the exception of the cable company charges and the occasional British Pay Per Viw we don't shell out a penny, which is great for us, the ... more
