    Advantages Advantages Cheaper than a Harley

    We bought a ‘D’ reg secondhand imported savage last year for £2200 and we are still very happy with our decision. The company we got it from wasn’t as hot as they could have been and mucked us about getting my documents (as its an import) although technically it was the post office and not their fault at all. Anyway... it’s a nice looking bike, we call it our poor mans Harley, (which is why we bought it, you know, shiny and posey) It’s a single cylinder engine cruiser with a belt drive, the belt is great because its practically zero maintenance (no bloomin’ oil everywhere) so it stays clean ... more

    I bought a Suzuki Savage two years ago and it's the best thing I ever did! Being short (5ft) and a girlie, I found it difficult to find a bike that would fit me. My Savage is a "C" reg. and it's very reliable. It's light and I can place both feet firmly on the ground. It's fast enough, I've got it up to 100 mph, although at that speed one does feel like one's head is going to come away! She cruises happily at between 70 mph and 80 mph. She's a good bike for short people who have just passed their test (she's under the 33bhp limit) and posers as well. The only problem that I have found with her ... more
