Advantages Advantages Great service, delicious food, nice atmosphere

Disadvantages Disadvantages I wanted more afterwards!

My favourite restaurant ever. Its only competitors are Ask and Zizzi's. Maybe Sabai. The menu caters for every palette, from comfort-food battered chicken BLT to a flavour sensation of JD sticky ribs and burgers. I went here with my partner the day after Valentine's and I had the vegetarian quasadilla. Absolutely delicious. The wrap was light and crispy, the vegetables were beautifully seasoned and caramelised. I'm a fan of spicy food and this dish tingled the tastebuds without being overpowering. My partner had a plain cheeseburger as he's a fussy eater. The chips that came with the burger ... more

Advantages Advantages Good variety of food, lively atmosphere, good for birthdays and friendly staff

Disadvantages Disadvantages Certain dishes are expensive, noisy during school holidays

I've only ever made seven visits to TGI Friday's restaurants withing the past 13 years and it's one of the most distinctive places I've ever eaten at. My first TGI Friday's visit was when I was 11 in 1998. I was at the Bristol Cribbs Causeway restaurant with my parents and my sister during a shopping and cinema trip in the area. I must've had an Oreo Cookie Shake to drink and I had a children's meal from a Barney the Dinosaur-themed menu. It was (rather catchily-named) Cheese and Ham Wig Wams (cheese and ham in flour tortillas) with Criss-Cross Fries (similar to potato waffles). My next visit ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages not so good for quiet meals

if you like a gourmet burger with a party environment, then your gonna love your experience at TGI Fridays! ive eaten in here many times and since there refurbishment they have really changed things around there food is presented better the standard of cleanliness is so much higher and there staff are very attentive. even before the meal we found booking the table was very easy and the person speaking on the other side of the phone all the questions to make sure even before we arrived that we would have the best time available. the selection of the food menu was a very big selection as the ... more

Advantages Advantages Good food, friendly staff, good service

Disadvantages Disadvantages a little pricey and can be a bit noisy

I recently went to TGI Fridays with my husband for a night out and had a blast! From the door the service was fantastic and we felt like we were VIPs. We were seated within minutes and our waiter was over within seconds of us being seated. He was so friendly and helpful and made us feel special. We actually ordered a 3 course meal each, I guess the good atmosphere of the place and the friendly vibe made us want to stay. My only complaint would be the variety of delicious food on the menu made me so indecisive that it took me forever to decide what to eat!! When the food did come it was hot and ... more

Advantages Advantages Relaxed and casual. Welcoming. Menu ok. Good cocktails.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Needs more salad on its menu!

TGI's in Cheltenham is within walking distance of my house. For this reason, I probably go to Cheltenham's TGI's fairly often just because its convenient for me as I don't need to worry about getting a taxi there and back if I want to have a drink (and I always like to have a drink!). My impression of TGI's is that its a nice, friendly welcoming place where the staff work hard to make your evening as enjoyable as possible. Certainly in Cheltenham I have found this to be the case. For me, service is every bit as important as the food when I go out for a meal, and if I feel like I'm being taken ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice food, good atmosphere and great service

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Too expensive

As I am originally from Coventry, I have visitied this particular TGI's quite a few times over the past 15 years! I have had many birthday meals with the family there when I was a kid. TGI's is known for the wacky American decor that it has. I'd say it was similar to a Planet Hollywood without the fame! There are random objects all over the walls and ceilling of the restaurant which makes it an interesting experience! Kids especially like it as there is a lot to look at. I remember being a little scared of the huge rhino head that looks over you as you head towards the bathrooms! TGI's is well ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none!

Well, I cannot speak highly enough of our beloved TGI Fridays! The first time I went here I was accompanied by a friend. Our plan being to go for something to eat before we started clubbing. Sitting nicely on a corner of Glasgows Buchanan Street TGI's even from the outside looks fun and inviting. When we stepped inside we were greeted by an ever so friendly staff member who directed us to our previously booked table, handing us a menu and taking our drinks order we knew this was going to be a good atmosphere and hopefully the food just as good, Choosing from a wide variety on meals we both ... more

Advantages Advantages Great atmosphere, great taste

    Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive

I visited the newly opened TGI Fridays in Belfast recently in the Victoria Square shopping centre and I had a really good dining experiance, the staff where friendly and the food was good, though it was quite expensive compared to other restaurants of its type. The restaurant itself is a very clean place with a great atmosphere inside it, you arent too close to other people who are dining but your not too far away from civilisation either. TGI Fridays is an american styled restuarant that has some great american food on the menu, their drinks, cocktails and iced drinks are also really tastey ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be noisy, some staff, waiting time, un-organised

(I will try to make this review shorter LOL). Each month I am given a challenge, and this month, it was no different from the others. I was challenged to dine out at another restaurant with the family. I was exceptionally worried about this one though, as for the past month or so, I have really been struggling and I had it drummed into my head that I wouldn't be able to manage, however, myself, being such a strong character who doesn't like to look weak, I rose to the challenge, determined to prove everybody wrong. And so came about deciding where to go. We contemplated many restaurants in the ... more

1 Star Quick review of TGI Fridays by fusing 09/09/2008
Visited TJs with my family we had to wait an hour for the meal, the quality of the food was what you would expect from a greasy spoon cafe. Service was not good, and the price was extortionate. My advise to anyone thinking of going DO NOT. Since mentioning our experience to other people we have learnt that not many people return to TJs. (Wish we had known earlier)
