Advantages Advantages Smells fresh and lovely, cleans well

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the cheapest cleanser

A BS classicI’ve been writing lots of reviews recently of Body Shop skincare products as I bought quite a lot of products when the shop was selling all its face scrubs and washes for half price! Of all the bits I bought, I had never used any of them before, but this was the one exception... I would say this is a bit of a Body Shop classic – it’s been around for ages and for anyone who goes to the Body Shop frequently this is likely to be quite familiar. As this is an older Body Shop product, I would say it has a more classic feel than some of the newer products, and the packaging has a bit of ... more

Last year the Body Shop brought back a range of products they called 'Anita's Favourites' (Anita referring to the late Anita Roddick, founder of the Body Shop) which are products that were around in the 80's and early 90's. They were supposed to be back for a limited time only, although I guess they must have proved popular as they're still around now. I bought a few products from the range, (for old times sake!) and although the passion fruit cleansing gel was not something I had used the first time around, it smelled gorgeous and was relatively cheap so I decided I'd give it a try. As I ... more

Advantages Advantages cleans well, great smell

Disadvantages Disadvantages don't get it in your eyes!

This product smells great -good enough to eat, it cleans away any dirt and make-up well and leaves the skin feeling clean, fresh and nice and smelly!. It is great first thing in the morning. Unlike cream cleansers it does not leave any residue behind. It foams nicely and rinses off easily with warm water, you only need to use a little at a time which makes it good value for money. The packaging could be better and it does not have the luxurious feel of some expensive cleansers or face washes but this product is great as an everyday cleanser. Good for normal and combination skin. I have used ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent value, great smell, leaves skin feeling fresh

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not for dry skin

I don't usually buy much at the body shop - they are expensive compared to many other brands and don't have special offers all that often! However, there is one particular product that I am very impressed with - the Passion Fruit Gel Cleanser. At £4 for 250ml it's great value, especially as it lasts ages (to give you some idea, I had a 50ml sample bottle that, used twice a day, lasted me over a month!). The gel is for normal to oily skin and unlike some similar products i've tried, is not too harsh and therefore does not dry the skin out. The product is easy to use; you simply wet your face ... more

When you move house there are many things that tend to happen. You have to pay out loads of your hard earned spondoolies to solicitors. You have to pack everything up, thus discovering many things you no longer knew you had and suddenly decide you absolutely have to keep. You argue with your partner about who made that crucial nudge that knocked over the vase that bounced on the floor and smashed, spraying the cat, and any small children in the locality, with glass. Your intentions to leave the house spotless for the next occupants are toned down somewhat when you realise how long it’s going ... more

The product that I am writing about is the Body Shop's Juice Up range of shower gels. I recently purchased the coconut, the peach and passion fruit one and the strawberry one. I thoroughly enjoyed lathering up with this completely gorgeous smelling shower gel. I couldnt believe how fruity the gel was, the peach one wafts scents of actual summer into your shower, and u can almost forget the drizzle and overcast sky outside! The gel comes in a very handy and clean sqeezy bottle with a cap which u can push down to stop drips and release to allow the gel to flow. It is very much like a sports ... more

PASSION FRUIT CLENSING GEL THIS CLENSING GEL IS FOR NORMAL TO OILY SKIN. IT IS LIGHT AND REFRESHING AND IS TOTALLY OIL FREE CLENSING GEL. IT IS SOAP FREE AND GENTLY WASHES AWAY DIRT, MAKE UP AND EXCESS OIL. THIS LEAVES THE SKIN CLEAR, CLEAN AND SOFT. IT MAY COME ACROSS AS REALLY HARSH ON YOUR FACE BUT IN FACT IT ACTUALLY MOISTENS THE SKIN. MY SKIN DID NOT FEEL TIGHT AND DRY LIKE AFTER SOME CLENSERS BUT SOFT AND CLEAN. THIS IS BRILLIANT AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY. THE ADDED BONUS IS THAT THE BODY SHOP IS AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING. ... more

I have been using the Body Shop's Passion Fruit cleansing gel for about five years now and I don't think I would ever use something else (except if my skin type changed). If you have oily skin this just has to be the best rinse off cleanser you can get. I usually go for more expensive cosmetic brands, but ever since I was given some as part of a gift, I haven't stopped using it. Its a fresh smelling gel, doesn't lather much, but leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean. I have been going on about it for years and recently, when a friend tried it, she said it was the best one she'd ever tried and ... more
