    Advantages Advantages brilliant children's fiction, great illustrations, such a funny, entertaining read

    THE TWITS When I was little I used to love all the books that Roald Dahl has written. I liked how they are so lively and wild, and the way in which they are written is easy to understand but not too easy, so not patronising if you get what I mean. When you read his books, it feels as though he is talking to you. This is one of the things that makes the story so engaging and makes you never want to put the book down. The Twits is no exception.     Advantages Advantages It'll be quicker than reading Harry Potter

    Disadvantages Disadvantages you'll try out some of they're hair brained tricks yourself!

    This is my favourite book of all time and I encourage everyone to read it (even if it is considered a childrens book) or listen to it if you can Have a little read of the plot: "Have there ever been two more wretched people than Mr. and Mrs. Twit? They're not just horrible, they're extra-specially horrible. Mr. Twit has a beard that houses every bit of moldy food that nearly made it to his mouth. Mrs. Twit has a glass eye which she likes to pop in her husband's beer, saying, "I've got eyes everywhere so you'd better be careful."     Advantages Advantages Fantastic bringing to life of a good story

    We got this as part of a bundle from the Book People, so I don't know its individual price. It would be well worth the normal full price, unlike another story in the bundle - the Andrew Sachs reading of James and the Giant Peach. I just couldn't stand the disgusting voice he used for Aunt Sponge! Sometimes when books are turned into audio books or films, your enjoyment of the story is spoiled because the voices aren't how you had imagined them to be and this gets in the way. With this audio book Simon Callow makes a good solid Roald Dahl story even better through his acting ability. The wide ... more
