    Advantages Advantages Great story, Reasitic(ish) and emotional character backgrounds, Great art

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Crossovers with other Ultimate marvel titles can cause a newbie to get confused

    Personally I wasn\'t much into comics, I wanted to be but lack of knowledge of titles to buy and money meant I couldn\'t access this form of entertainment, until my school library had a few volumes out, I took them out and couldn\'t get enough of it. The modern setting and relatable characters make it easily accessible, the idea of reinventing spider-man for the newer generation was a great idea. I bought the next few volumes soon after and volumes that stood out to me were the Venom arch and the Ultimate Six arch and the comedy of some parts only make it better.     Advantages Advantages Compelling reading and storylines

    Peter Parker is a geek. There’s no other way of saying it properly with stating the fact: Parker is a geek. But then again, I’m sure we all were at some point (I know I still am). And perhaps, it is that quality that makes Peter Parker the most human character in all of comics. We understand his awkwardness, we understand his insecurities, we understand the turmoil he has to endure. Writer Brain Michael Bendis knows this because of this one secret fact: Bendis is a geek as well.     One of the criticisms that many people might have of super hero comic books is that they are extremely old-fashioned. Batman, Spiderman and the like have been around since the 1950s or 60s, without changing all that much, and the whole super hero concept is now rather dated.
