    Disadvantages Disadvantages Being lied to about despatch, disappointed daughter AND out of pocket

    I ordered an item on express delivery (next day) and paid extra. I received an email stating that the order was despatched but when I tracked the order almost 24 hours later (halfway through the day it was due to be delivered), the courier website did not recognise the number. On telephoning the courier, they confirmed that The Hut had printed a label but not asked them to collect the item. Not impressed as it was my daughter's birthday present for the day after tomorrow and have limited funds so will have to wait to be refunded to buy anything else. Will NEVER use this company again.     Below is the last email to THEHUT,says it all really. I recieved this item after Christmas. This was unacceptable as it was clearly stated on your website that orders placed before a certain date would arrive before the 25th December. I also entered my Groupon code for the item and when the order was finalized the discount was not applied and there was no reference to Groupon at all. To make matters worse your website instructed me to enter my bank details and stated that I shouldn't worry if I had a Groupon code as I will not be charged.     This is a personal recent experience I have had with Thehut.com. Having purchased a few items from them in past years and having no complaints I decided buy two items just before Christmas. Lets get one thing straight, the prices are cheap! Once I received my items I understood why. The pictures on the site do not reflect the clothing, poor quality, sizes do not match etc.. This review is not to complain about the quality of clothes (I feel that is a personal opinion) but to open future "potential customers' eyes to what lies in store for them should they wish to return an item.     This company clearly does not spend enough on customer service. They really have got their business model so wrong. If you are an investor it's time to start taking a very close look at the operational management. thehut brand is being undermined. Act now and you might save it. They do not answer their phone. They do not refund your money within the period indicated. Their query section seems to have been designed to stop you sending more that one message about a problem.     I will never order from The Hut, or their associated sites again. They are slow to dispatch, sometimes taking 2 weeks for orders to arrive, and for the last several orders I have made the items are not up to standard. They have sent me wrong sizes, clothes that are different from the description and more. I have sent them back, but got no refund, and no replies to my emails and have had to claim with Paypal numerous times. Even then they have not replied and eventually Paypal have refunded my money.     I placed an order on the 15th of November for a Christmas gift for a relative... It is now the 15th of December, and my item has not arrived. I checked online to see the status of my order to see 'Awaiting dispatch'... A month after I'd placed the order?! So I emailed the customer service team and was told that the products were not in stock, and that I would have to wait, even though when I'd ordered the items, I made sure they were marked as being in stock.     I didn't receive the items ordered. I never got a response to my emails until now. "Customer Service" agent "Billie" wrote he/she sent a claim form which never happened. Thehut.com claims to have shipped the items Sep. 5 and 14, 2011 I am dissatisfied with their customer service because it simply doesn't exist. I haven't received a single answer to my emails (see below), I didn't even receive an autoreply with a ticket number I can refer to. Please google "thehut customer service" - it is a shame!     As value for money the hut.com is exceptional. Medium series 6 priced £12.95. at the hut. and can be as high as £24 at other sites. They do say delivery can take up to 28 days, which should be a warning, I took no heed of. This said however, delivery is slow. Very slow. The one thing I dislike about the hut is that they don't mention that titles are out of stock. When I ordered medium, there wasn't a confirmation email, I logged into my account and found that my dvd won't be sent out for another 20 days. This is unacceptable, every other dvd site seems able to manage quick delivery. I have ... more

    I have been a long-time customer having spent hundreds of GBP in their shop. At first, I was tempted by the professional website and attractive prices. After several orders were shipped wrong or could not be cancelled days before shipping, I was already reluctant to order again from then.     My order was sent on the 6th July, but according to the tracking information was sent back to The Hut on the 10th July... The Hut did not inform me of the problem, and I only discovered the problem on checking the tracking information on the 27th July. I first contacted The Hut on the 28th July. Throughout August I made contact via email, twitter and via their site AND HAVE STILL TO BE REFUNDED!!!
