The Piper family all agree that T5 Caravelle is the best people carrier available. We have had a Nissan Terrano, a Mercedes V230, a Seat Alhambra. We found them all massively inferior to the Caravelle. However, the Caravelle is not without its shortcomings. Day to day use is fine. The manual gearbox can get a little tiresome as the first gear is so short and if you leave it in 2nd at slow speeds then the 130hp engine just stalls. Maybe the 174hp version is more driveable? Advantages cruise control, alloy wheels, air con, full electrics

I have recently had the pleasure of getting one of these vehicles not only is it German built which in the motoring industry is renowned for it's quality and reliability it is the most comfortable drive for me and my passengers on any vehicle I have ever owned. There is 5 seats in the back and 3 in the front meaning I can carry 7 people plus me driving and have the boot space to accomadate 2 of the rear seats turn around which means all passengers can "sit in a circle" with a little table that folds out which is great for stopping for a picnic or playing board games on long journeys, there is ...
