    Wilkinson (Wilko) Wilkinsons (or Wilko I will call it throughout this review), is an ever growing company that most people know of. Their stores stock most of the items you'll find in big retail stores including Boots, B&Q & WHSmith, but at cheaper prices on most items. Everytime I go into town I always go into Wilko as it's one of those bits & bobs shops that I always like to mooch around in. It's like you find something in Wilko that you have searched everywhere for & there it is, standing on the shelf.     In the great Californian gold rush it was the guys selling the shovels that got rich, better to be certain of a sale than leave it to good fortune, which is why the budget stores like Wilkinson's are doing so well in recession. Until recently middle-class people wouldn't be seen dead in discount stores but now they have no choice but and are secretly enjoying the value, if you were to ask me. In fact the likes of Lidl and Netto plan huge store roll-outs off the back of their new growth from the better healed customer.     Wilkinsons.In my local town centre we have a Wilkinsons store which I love!I don't ever not go into Wilko's as there is always something or another that I will need. Just yesterday I went in for some shampoo and easter eggs!Wilko's sell a massive range of stuff, from food to garden furniture, it really is a one stop shop. Apart from everyday items I generally use Wilko's for paint and wallpaper, I often find a paper I like in there and there starts my obession with decorating.     One of my favourite bits and bobs shops is Wilkinson's. I love shops that stock bits of all sorts and wherever I go and there is one I will go in and take a mooch about. I did work for them at one time and I hated it and quit after a couple of weeks years ago infact but I may have hated working there but I've never stopped shopping there lol! Goods: Like I have just stated Wilkinson's stock allsorts of items. Most stores I have been in have pretty massive and I have one very local to where I live in Weston Super Mare.     I would just like to write a review on Wilkinsons, a shop that in my own opinion in a lot of ways has actually in fact taken over from Woolworths since its demise a short time back. The shop that I am writing about is in Plymouth, in a little shopping centre on the northern edge of the main Plymouth shopping centre that is known locally as the Armada Centre. I first found Wilkinsons when I was in Swansea visiting my brother when he was away there at University (though why he chose there I shall never know but hey ho), but it was a good number of years before it arrived in Plymouth.     Just 2 minutes walk from where I live is a brilliant shop which sells all sorts of things and at a price which I do not mind paying. I go there very frequently. I love it. The prices they charge are good and the quality of their own products never fails me. What is this shop? Wilkinsons, a general hardware shop. What does this shop sell? There is so much there. I regularly buy Baby milk 70p cheaper than Sainsburys. Plastic bags packs of 50 for school lunches for 12p. Stationery products regularly sold on buy one get one free.     Wilkinsons is probably one of my favourite household and hardware shops to visit and shop as the deals and discounts are normally better than other High street stores in my area . ------------Why I like the store --------- My local store is in Greater Manchester and there is 12 available but my closest is just down the road . When I walk in the shelves are well organised and you can see clearly what is available with plenty of room to walk around leisurely . You can choose a trolley which caters for two children to be placed in with baby straps attached or you can get a basket to pull along ... more

    Wilkinsons are a mixed blessing, in short. They are a high street shop, selling all kinds of everything, some of it good, some of it rubbish. Their stock is somewhat unpredictable, so while they will appeal to the hardened bargin hunter, anyone who needs something specific, fast, may not do so well. A brief overview of things I've seen them stock: babycare products, toiletries, kitchenware, sweets, clothes, bed linnen, stationary, garden furniture, plants, DIY stuff, beer making kits, toys, electronic goods, furniture, snacks.     When I first went into a wilkinson store about 2 years ago I thought it was going to be full of cheap junk, however to my surprise as I walked through the door I was greeted by a friendly member of staff and a toiletries section with very good prices, I carried on round the store, I was actually after some windscreen washer for the car but I couldn't find it so I went to the help desk and asked where abouts it was kept and the girl on there got another member of staff to walk me accross to the product to save me time.     When it comes to shopping, I'm not what most people would consider a typical female. I don't particularly enjoy the experience and in an ideal world would buy everything over the internet. Sadly this isn't an ideal world, and as there no such things as black bag fairies, I have to drag myself out to the shops every now and again.
