    The reason I used this site was to save money but I have certainly lost a lot of money from it !!!! You lose about 15% on selling fees. Customer support will ignore you. you will get scammed multiple of times by buyers AND sellers. eBay will favor the scammers as they played by their rules and then eBay will harass YOU for the money with debt collectors and endless phone calls at all hours. EBay will say there's nothing they can do and it is your fault as you didn't read their bible of Terms & Conditions. eBay does not care one bit about its long term customers.     I decided to sell for the first time on eBay. I voiced my concerns to a member of the eBay team about a buyer that seemed un trustworthy, this was via telephone (costly) and email. eBay did not listen and ignored my concerns, even now they can not give me answers and tell me that even though I have lost money that they are not responsible. They can not answer why they ignored my concerns, customer service is appalling and they have an appalling attitude. They are not concerned about loosing me as a customer.     I have been a buyer and a seller on Ebay for many years. I always felt safe using the site as there is Ebay Buyer Protection and I felt Ebay would sort out any problem that might arise. In November 2012, however, I ordered a drill through Ebay. When the item arrived, it was not the one advertised and I contacted the seller. He agreed that it was sent in error and asked me to return it. It cost me £25 to return and from then on I heard nothing from the seller. I contacted Ebay and went through the procedures required.     This has got to be the best website on the internet where you can by all sorts of items, new old or whatever. I have made money selling old items on the Ebay and they have made me a profit. It is a amazing place to start a online selling business. I know someone who has been cleaning out there house and selling all there unwanted things and they made around $500 on doing so. All of the items they sold where old and some of them was broken. They clearly told in the description of the item that it was broken.     From my point of view Ebay is the most user friendly and easy to use online shopping website. It is one of the only websites where you can literally find anything that you are looking for, although sometimes you are left with a list of items that you don't want or are not interested in. It's user friendly interface makes it really easy to navigate through various categories and find what you are looking for within minutes.     I think ebay is fantastic some times and a disaster other times. I have been a faithful ebay user for nearly 3 years and have had a total of 4 problems with Items I have purchased. I understand that it is not ebays fault but it is something they have to resolve. One time I ordered and payed for a brand new jacket and did not recieve the product. And I did not receive a refund either. Ebay is easy to use and fairly straight-forward to set up. Anyone can use it.
