Advantages Advantages It is a good way to rid of unwanted phones

Disadvantages Disadvantages The company doesn't care for its customers

It is often said in Customer Relationship Management circles that a company's true value is shown by how it handles complaints. It is easy when things go well, but how does a business respond when things go badly? By that measure, Envirofone fails dismally. Its staff are rude and patronising, it fails to take account of the customer's point of view, treats the customer as though they are a child with no understanding of anything and it fails to respond to email messages, either within the time it promises to, or indeed at all. It seems as though I shall have to resort to suing Envirofone as ... more

Advantages Advantages quick and easy to do, more cash than I expected, great service

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none!

Everytime I got a new phone I never really knew what to do with my old phones. I dont like spending alot of money on phones so I always have whatevers cheap, and I tend to keep them for years - so no one would really ever want to buy a cheap old phone so I cant really sell them. Thats when i discovered envirofone. I first heard about it through a television advert, and thought it would be a good idea. Envirofone offer to buy your old and unwanted mobile phones from you, and recycle them properly - which is a great idea. All you have to do is go onto the website and enter your phone make and ... more

Advantages Advantages quick(yet useless) response from envirofone customer service team

Disadvantages Disadvantages business is based on posting phone via mail, yet standard envelopes provided are not tracked

I had an old IPhone, was quoted 57 £ on website. It wasn't worth a lot, home button broken, top button falling out...and I'm glad it was like that, you'll find out why in a minute...After getting a quote Envirofone has sent me a pre-paid envelope which is standard envelope they give you to post your phone back. They use Royal Mail. I've posted it straight away, and got receipt from the Post Office(so glad I did!) And now my phone is missing for over 2 weeks. Envirofone didn't receive it, envelope wasn't tracked or signed for so I will never find out who took my phone (they are sought after so ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy and quick to use. Money back for old phones and good for recycling.

Disadvantages Disadvantages None really, maybe value of some rarer phones could be higher.

There's always a time when we could do with a little extra cash now and then, and whilst there are a plethora of ways to make small amounts of money on-line, one of the quickest ways to generate a nice lump sum is to sell your old mobile phone to one of several mobile phone recycling websites. One of the most high profile is Envirofone, which I have used several times when I bypassed the idea of giving my old mobile away. Here are my thought on my experiences with Envirofone.comIf it Ain't Broke, Don't Bin It!Any of us who have owned a mobile phone for several years always gets to that time ... more

    Advantages Advantages Reecorded delivery, price

Disadvantages Disadvantages Could be a bit quicker

In my opinion Envirofone are a very good option if your selling your phone for a couple of reasons. I sold them 3 phones, an iPhone 3gs, an old Nokia and a blackberry by trading on a Monday, i got my freepost recorded delivery envelope on the Tuesday and I think i sent it back on the Wednesday. I heard from them on the Thursday confirming receipt and I got full price for the Blackberry and the iPhone which was £190.00. The Nokia was slightly broken so they offered me less for it which i accepted (was hoping they wouldn't notice the fault!) and they paid the money into my bank account. It all ... more

    Advantages Advantages they pay.. sometimes.

Disadvantages Disadvantages take your phone.. no money back?.. fail!

Okay so i've previously sent phones off to envirofone.. 4 all together and I only ever recieved money for 2 of them. They have made up excuses like.. this phone was not in tact or this phone was not useable. Hang on.. yes it was! And i always thought it was to recycle the phones for new things? .. surely then it wouldn't need to be intact anyway? .. maybe i'm wrong but i've asked for the phone to be sent back if they were not usable, and i got no reply.. no phone back.. and no money. Cheers :| . So the moral of the story is.. don't sell your phone to evirofone. Send it to some other more ... more

Advantages Advantages Great customer service and easy to use website

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some low prices for older models

There are so many companies that are offering this kind of service so sometimes it's really hard to make an informed choice. I have now used Envirofone twice and have to say I am very impressed with the speed and professionalism of this company. The website is easy to use, postage is free as well which is a bonus. Will be coming back for more in the future! In my opinion the top two are Envirofone and Mazuma as you can always trust the brands on TV. It's great to get money for unwanted electrical products and these kind of companies offer an easier way of getting money for your old phones than ... more

Advantages Advantages Quick Payment, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some very low payment on certain models

I first heard about Envirofone on one of those annoying TV adverts, and wasn't 100% sure of how genuine they were, so got on the Internet and had a browse around. The website is located at www.envirofone.com and is very well set out and easy to use. I think even if you were an internet novice you would find it very easy to navigate. The background is a pale blue colour with the company logo in the left hand side of the page. The main page has the basic information about the company and the website, and along the top of the website there is the control panel with tabs such as sell my phone, how ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages have ruined a perfectly good handset

my advice is DEFINITELY DO NOT USE this company. I have since checked other review centres and found the same advice. My daughter was offered a price online and so applied . they sent through a packaged envelope to return our handset and then e mailed me to give a new price due to ' damage'. I turned down this pathetic 2nd figure and asked them to return the handset only to find to my horror that they had broken a piece on the phone and had scratched the screen very badly and now the phone is more or less worthless. I have contacted them and they have said that it must have been damaged in ... more
