    I recently purchased a Formosa Paisley fireplace from Fireplace Megastore based in Deeside North Wales. I live in Newbury so couldn't visit their showroom so I ordered via the internet from their website. The value of the fireplace was £789 which was the best price I could find surfing the net. The fireplace arrived within a week from placing my order. I received a telephone call to book in the delivery and the delivery team were very helpful and friendly.     I ordered the fireplaces (Yes 2, me and my sister, we decided to get discount on the builder and gas installer by paying for it in one! Clever Hey!!) after ordering, there was an issue with my card, blonde forgetting the password! receiving a call within 30 mins filled me with confidence that they were a legitimate company.     Having just moved house, my husband and I started on the hunt for two new fireplaces. I purchase an awful lot of 'stuff' on the internet but wasn't sure if a fireplace was something I could or wanted to buy online...... nethertheless I thought I could at least research my prices online even if I decided not to purchase.     We ordered on-line a Flamerite Cascade fire suite from Fireplace Megastore on 12 November 2007 with an expected delivery of 2 weeks. I phoned Fireplace Megastore on 28 November asking what progress on my order. They promised to phone back and did so on that day and said that the order would be delivered in 3/4 days. It was delivered on 3 December. We are delighted with the suite which looks magnificent and does all it says in the brochure. We paid £645 for this suite and were quoted a price of £898 for it through a local supplier so it is good value for money. We have now had the fire suite ... more

    We bought a Verine Fire costing in excess of £600. We did not unpack it until we were readly to fit it. When we unpacked it the Verine Logs were damaged so we contacted the Fireplace Megastore to arrange replacement logs. Not only did they refuse to replace them FOC because they say you have to contact them within 7 days if there is anything wrong with the order; but they wanted £179.00 for logs we only paid £65 for in the first place!     Although we did have a slight problem at the beginning when something was not delivered all that got completely sorted. We love the fire now it's in. It looks wonderful. The little plate that closes off the smoke is a bit warped and so does not fit perfectly to keep out drafts when the fire is not in use but we still love the overall look of the fire. We would certainly recommend you to anyone who does not want to be paying top prices for the very same product at a High Street shop.     I was blown away by the sheer variety of items available and spent a good few hours browsing and probably testing their patience a little bit too with my endless silly questions but finally found my perfect fire! And believe me I probably went through every fire they have available!Had it installed just before the heat wave and i'm probably the only person who was happy when the temperature dropped because It meant I could use my new fireI don't really know what else to say really, other than don't be afraid to really pick the brains of the salesman over the phone or in the showroom.     I found their experiance and service without fault, there were several guys who all seem to certainly know what they were talking about, they guided me towards the products I should have been looking at in the first place (How was I meant to know what a 'Powerflue' was!! But they explained) I had one issue...that was I couldn't spend a bit more, the amount of fires they had was scary, it was like a child in a sweet shop, i did want one of each. Anyway, after i was helped decide what item they looked at design, price and my flue (I think thats the right word!! :-p) and shown me several examples ... more

    I recently bought an Apex Rivas hole in the wall gas fire from Fireplace Megastore. I had searched the web for the best prices and read a variety of reviews including the ones seen on Ciao. However I had a friend who had bought off Fireplace Megastore and she said that they very quite good and that convinced me!!!!!!     I recently purchased a Europa fireplace from Fireplace Megastore and received excellent service. I had originally ordered the wrong size of fireplace but they agreed no quibble to uplift and exchange at no cost to me and refunded the difference between the 2 fireplaces as I had paid more for a larger version when I in fact needed the smaller one. I note there are other reviews saying they have had problems with getting a refund. Well I didn't have any.
