Advantages Advantages Easy for sending and reading, Unlimited space

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow, Bad navigation, No Support

Hotmail is a good email service that I have always used and always hope to use, but it has some really bad downsides and these will be explained below. In my opinion Hotmail can be good at times but, and yes a big BUT. It is quite slow loading which slows me down a great amount when I have lots of emails to look through and I want to get it done quickly, which is not always possible and I tend to have a lot of email. Another downside, is the navigation. The navigation is poor the links are scattered everywhere, you click one thing to find one set of stuff but then you find out you clicked the ... more

Advantages Advantages free, 1gb inbox size, easy to use, pleasant design

Disadvantages Disadvantages 10mb file attachment limit

Hotmail.com is a simple and straightforward email site that can be set up in minutes and easily accessed from anywhere in the world. It only takes a few seconds to log in, at which point the user is greeted with a simple overview screen, from which point they can access their inbox to access any new unread emails (or older ones that are yet to be deleted) as well as access their outbox to read emails that have been sent out, the drafts folder into which unfinished emails can be saved until they are ready to be sent, and the junk email folder into which spam is automatically placed where it is ... more

Advantages Advantages free with lots of space, available from anywhere

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not suitable for children

The Hotmail interface is not suitable for children. Although I use Hotmail myself and think it is great, it did not meet the needs of my own children. Yes there are parental controls, but you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it all set up - then you are left with an overly complex interface for children complete with adverts for dating! I decided to write an email application for my own children that just collects emails from the email provider and only displays the emails from contacts that you (the parent) control. I've made it available for others to use www.mifrenz.com I've just ... more

Advantages Advantages Share file size 50MB/file. MS office documents online anywhere. Cool new look. Strong antispam.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't have enough fonts.

In this modern age I'm using email services from various providers but from all of them I really liked Hotmail. Why? First of all there are some build in designs, so I can give a design and cool look to my hotmail. I really like the new look improved in 2010. Now hotmail offers you to share up to 50 MB/file and also if you've installed "Silverlight" then it will take less time to upload and attach your files and photos. You can Bing search for images, videos, web pages, clip arts and more right at the time of writing a new email. You would also love to use MS Office products e.g. Word, Excel ... more

For people who don't know , Hotmail is a Easy and compatible way of emailing and keeping in contact with people. It is also the leading email system for internet users topping Yahoo and Google Mail. This is mainly because it is simple and easy to use. Recently Hotmail received updates (in which it does almost every 1/2 year). On these new updates you can easily arrange your mail to suit you , by arranging it into Social / Business Files etc.. Which is very nifty ,it also allows you to use messenger in the Hotmail page which allows you to talk to someone that you know whilst writing an email ... more

Advantages Advantages Free, Easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I have been using hotmail for many years now and I think it is fantastic. The layout is very user friendly and it is very easy to get used to it when you start using it. There are the standard folders: Inbox; Junk; Drafts and Sent. The draft folder saves emails at various stages while you write them so you will not lose them if something happens to your computer. The sent box saves them after you have sent them, which I find useful for keeping track of what you have sent, when and to who. You can create many different folders to store away your emails. These folders will be displayed down the ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Junk...

Hotmail...I have had several accounts on Windows Live Hotmail for years now and I can honestly say I will never get an account with any other mail site. But, obviously I have my reasons for this... Hotmail was founded by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith. It was one of the first web-based e-mail services and was launched in July 1996 as "HoTMaiL".
