ovetta2001
Advantages: Great plot, gripping
Disadvantages: Ghost writer, Short

From running to bat and ball she is in her element. However when she is finally adopted by Peter and Pamela Thompson her sporting skills are far from ... ...Brooke is soon to learn that her new father Peter is a well known wealthy lawyer and Pamela is best described as a trophy wife. Pamela is a reining beauty queen whose life consists of nothing but a strict timetable of moisturizing, washing and constant etiquette. I don't dance....
Review of Butterfly - Virginia Andrews by
JAZZ100
Advantages: Can't put it down once started!
Disadvantages: None
This is what Butterfly (real name Janet) tells Celine but it falls on deaf ears. Celine has been watching Janet, in secret, at the orphanage for weeks and has made up her mind that she is the one she wants. With her slight petite frame and good posture, Celine is sure she will be perfect.
Butterfly just wants to belong to a family but all Celine wants is to make Butterfly become the ballerina she could never be. Celine is in a wheelchair due to ... ...Butterfly is put through private dance lessons with a top private tutor. Celine who is unbearably anxious about Butterfly's progress decides to teach her aswell. When the private tutor insists that Butterfly must rest between lessons, Celine agrees but then continues her punishing lessons insisting that Butterfly must not tell.
Even though it would seem that Butterfly is a bit above average at ballet, Celine only sees that she will be a top dancer ...

Crystal
Review of Crystal - Virginia Andrews by
ovetta2001
Advantages: Good story, one of five books
Disadvantages: Not actually V.C
...together to create a fifth. Crystal is no exception and it is the second instalment to the 'Orphans Miniseries'. The others are known as Butterfly, Brooke, Raven and finally Runaways. Now before I go further I have to break a few hearts. Even though V.C.Andrew is famous for many a book she has personally penned few herself. She did write the whole Dollanganger family series just as she wrote half the Casteel family series and My Sweet Audrina. Apart ... ...on her stories well and Crystal is one of the many books I have enjoyed from his handy work. Crystal is the brightest student in the Orphanage and despite being only eleven has been given a lot of responsibility. She over sees whatever Mr Phillips (one of the workers) asks her and is happy to do so. She is your typical grade A, apple to the teacher student and that is the way she likes it. Crystal also believes that she isn't wanted for two reasons. ...

Brilliant Read
Review of Dark Angel - Virginia Andrews by
buggsy2008
Advantages: too many to recall
Disadvantages: none
Buying The Book
I bought this book from a charity shop to further my collection by this author. I bought the whole set in one trip, I got lucky and they were all there. It is a brilliant series and well worth the money it goes for in the shops. I paid about 50p for the book, the price on th ecover is £5.99 or £6.99 I can't remember which. It's usually available on amazon and ebay for less than this though.
The Book
This is the 2nd ... ...of Heaven Leigh Casteel. A motherless girl whose father sells her and her brothers and sisters to make some money. When the woman she is sold to dies Heaven is sent to live with her grandparents in Farthingale Manor. She soon learns that there are some family secrets surrounding her grandparents and the disappearance of her mother Leigh who ran away when she was younger. Heaven is desperate to be reunited with her brothers and sisters and sets out ...
