The best toaster Ive ever had ...
Review of Breville TR41 by
Janej47
Advantages: easy to use and versatile , great looking machine
Disadvantages: takes up quite a lot of worktop space
This one machine has made several of my others redundant ... I have put away my worktop grill and my toaster , and no longer need to use the built in oven grill
Priced anywhere between £35 and £45 ( depending on the outlet ) this is a stylish shiny chromed finish that looks professional in any kitchen , easy to clean and idiotproof to use . This model will toast up to four full sized sandwiches at once on the large hotplate , and the self adjusting ... ...the side of the unit is a slide switch which raises and lowers the top plate avoiding any unwanted squashing of the sandwich , so anything frrom sliced bread to paninis and ciabatta rolls come out perfect every time
Unlike most sandwich toasters it doesnt have the cutter built in on the plate , so the sandwich can be left whole and cut after cooking if you prefer , but the big bonus for me is that you dont get that hard crispy cut edge where the ...

George Foreman 13184 Anniversary Grill
Review of George Foreman 13184 Anniversary by
KRSD
Advantages: Caters for larger numbers, easy to cook with and clean
Disadvantages: Need some space to store it
...great thing as for all George Foreman Grills is when you have prepared the meat, its simply a case of switch it on, wait until its ready to cook then go. Cleaning is also really easy. Just use the supplied scrapers to get rid of any congealed fat and then wipe down with a warm cloth. If you are cooking burgers for instance the drip trays, two supplied, easily catch the fat and for a real treat you have your own supply of Lard just waiting to be done ...

Health No-Grill
Review of Rosemary Conley Energi HG6 EASY Clean Health Grill by
phg180
Advantages: Removable non stick plates, hinged lid
Disadvantages: Not cooking
...I previously owned a Rosemary Conley health grill, and when it got broken (recently), I replaced it with one from the new Rosemary Conley Energi range. On the old machine I used it mostly for toasted sandwiches , and it cooked a toasted sandwich in 3 minutes perfectly, crispy and the cheese melted. The NEW one didn't cook the toasted sandwich at all. It melted the cheese eventually after 5 minutes but the bread was still white and uncooked. The company ...

Phillips HD 2384
Review of Philips HD 2384 by
Lemonylime
Advantages: Easy to use, healthy, tasty
Disadvantages: Could be awkward to clean
Advantages- easy to use, makes great toasties, doesnt need preparation time (just plug in and go), takes hardly any time to warm up (quicker than the time it takes to grate the cheese :D) very convenient, for things like if your child has a load of friends over it makes an easy way to mass-produce lunch for them all without any complaints about the wait! It's really simple to use- just put in the buttered bread and ingredients and clip it shut, then ... ...minute or two later. You dont need to use any extra butter (just turn the bread upside down to toast the other side brown) so it's just as healthy as a regular sandwich, plus you can experiment with ingredients- i have used egg, cheese, meat, polenta, differnet sauces, anything really! It is easy to store, because it's small and takes up little room in any cupboard or out on the top. The only disadvantage is that it is a bit difficult to clean properly, ...
