Review of Breville TR16 by sarahjames

Advantages: cheap as chips
Disadvantages: lasts about 5 mins

hmm... well, I'm not exactly a toastie chef, but I'm not sure that these toasties are all that bad. until you've cooked one before that is... and it's quite difficult to get the old toastie off the plate. oo - and the little bit that holds it together whilst you're cooking is really easy to snap off! I saw a crack after about 2 days of use! However.... great for students who want something disposable which isn't too precious to make midnight snacks ... Read review

Review of Breville TR25 by Dexter2102

Advantages: "Floating Hinge" for thick or thin sandwiches
Disadvantages: None

This Sandwich Toaster is by far the best i have ever owned. It's not one of those sandwich makers that sits in your kitchen cupboard for months at a time this one you will actually use all the time. With its stylish Chrome Body it will look great in any kitchen.I have had mine for about 3 years and i have never had any trouble with it 's perfect cafe style ciabbattas or your plain toasties. With your ciabbatta style sandwich taking about 3 and a half ...
...2 minutes. 1000 Watts of power for quick heat up and super fast toasting for that crisp toastie Features: This Sandwich maker has a unique "Floating Hinge" which automatically adjusts to your thick or thin sandwiches. Larger than most non stick plates for extra crispy toasties avoiding that almost damp sanwich you can sometimes get with others. It also acts like a grill if you want to make toasted cheese for instance with it's adjustable height ... Read review

Hungry for a toasted sandwich???
Review of Breville TR28 S/Steel by readalot

Advantages: Good looking, an attractive kitchen appliance, small and compact.
Disadvantages: Does not seal sandwiches very well.

Great looking sandwich maker which fits in well with a modern kitchen environment but not alot else to offer. Constantly bread sticks to the enamel inside even after oiling and greasing well. The seal on the toast is not that great either and the fillings just leak out. After taking ages to make a good sandwich I was quite upset to find the bread was burnt and stuck and the filling escaping out of the bread. There is a knack I know to making good ...
...- even after trying for sometime. The user manual is good yes, but when the sandwich maker is put to the test it's not that good.Cleaning the machine is very hard and you have to be very careful what you clean and about getting underneath to where all the filling has escaped to. I think I paid over the odds and was quite let down with it. ... Read review

Breville for toasties
Review of Breville TR30 by bettyboouk

Advantages: Great tasty sandwiches
Disadvantages: Quite difficult to clean

Overview This creats really nice, deep filled and sealed toasties that are usually sealed around the edges - the seal being nice and crispy. I think this cost £20 - we have had it for about a year and the toasties taste excellent as they did when we did the first. Asthetics White with black tefal coated plates. The machine looks very much like a sandwich toaster. It has a green and red light on the top. It doesn't take up too much room and can ...
...It is quite light to lift. Ease of use This toastie maker is so simple to use. Plug it in and the red light on top will illuminate, while it is heating up you should prepare your sandwich by buttering the bread (the buttered side needs to be on the outside of the sandwich) and then adding a filling. This makes deep filled sandwiches but don;t over fill. Once it has heated enough the red light will go out and the green will light up. Lift the lid ... Read review

Breville knows best!
Review of Breville TR34 Quattro by nattinoo1970

Advantages: 4 rounds at 1 time
Disadvantages: Quite bulky so difficult to store

...spare cash and saw this Breville Quattro in a local store and bought it with no hesitation. Whilst it is on the bulky side and it can be quite difficult to store because of it's size it is extremely easy to use being a great "plug and play" item. The unit heats quickly, toasts quickly and cools again quickly. The bread stays where it is put while you close the lid down to start the cooking process, so you get even sandwiches, not mishapes which leak ...
...makes are like no other sandwich you will ever make. I don't know whether it is the design or shape of the plates but you get no limp, flat sandwiches here. Every sandwich is prefectly formed, deep and fluffy. Every sandwich seals perfectly - even if the slices of bread are not quite the same size due to them being end of loaf etc. Plus you get to make 4 rounds at a time so there are no disappointed faces waiting for the next 2 rounds to heat! I've ... Read review
