Couldn't live without them!
Review of Weight Watchers 4 in 1 Precision Analyse Scales by Amy69

Advantages: useful, stylish, on sale
Disadvantages: Can be pricey

...of electronics. Being fond of Weight Watchers products, I thought it would be a good idea to get my hands on some of their scales, and bought the Body Fat Precision Electronic Scales. The scales themselves are two shades of silver, with little ovals for your feet (see further functions). With manual scales you need to use them on flat, hard surfaces, but here you are provided with detachable 'carpet feet' so you can use these on various floors (which ...
...the little metal ovals, your weight will be displayed on the screen. You can then step off, and after about half a minute, the screen will turn itself off (self switch-offing machines?! We really are becoming lazy, aren't we!). Fortunately, these scales don't just measure your weight alone. There is a special function where you can save data of up to ten people into the machine's memory, which can help you to monitor your progress. You need to program ... Read review

There is more to weight management than you think
Review of Salter 9117 by laramax

Advantages: Gives you a detailed analysis of your body composition
Disadvantages: You need to do a little reading before the results mean anything

...when I spotted the Salter 9117 Bodywise scales on offer at half price, it was more than I could resist so I placed an order for them. I bought mine from Boots online for £24.99 instead of the list price of of £49.99 - to be honest I doubt I would have bought them at the full price. These scales offer more than just gving you details of how much you weigh which was what attracted me to them. They measure a whole range of other things to tell you ...
...the appearance of these. Salter have a long history of manufacturing good quality weighing equipment and I was not disappointed in my purchase. They are just about ready to use straight out of the box once you have installed the four AAA batteries which they provide. What makes them different? The main selling point for these scales is that they analyse your body composition as well as weighing you. Like many people I have used the excuse ... Read review

I did find the instructions a bit repetitive, but the information ... Read review

Great scale with a big display and a low price
Review of Weightwatchers 8959U by martafdz

Advantages: Display, price, size, everything!
Disadvantages: If you want one that measures body fat as well, this hasn't got it

...a leaflet to subscribe to Weightwatchers magazine. The leaflet (at least in my scales) gives you the option to subscribe for 3 months at £5 and then continue the subscription at £30 for another year. I didn't subscribe because I don't like the idea of having to call/write to cancel, because they automatically sign you up for a year subscription after the end of the 3 months, and I am the kind of person who forgets about it until I see that the direct ...
...I think "well, now I have paid, why not?" and I end up with magazines I don't read and subscriptions everywhere. The manual has information about the scales, instructions for use, a list of safety cautions, instructions to replace the battery, information about the guarantee period, the Customer Services details and some advice about using your scales. DESCRIPTION The scales measure (in cm) 32.7 (W), 30.7 (D) and 2.1 (H), so it is really ... Read review

Oh my god, the scale of the problem!
Review of Salter 9000 by paulhanton

Advantages: Fantastically accurate.
Disadvantages: Horribly accurate.

These are a plain white set of electronic scales bought from ASDA for £10, which considering they have a 15 year guarantee seems to me to be pretty good value. they are pretty thin, less than an inch and a half thick, the scales wiegh around 2lb (there is no techie info with them) and can weigh up to 23 stone (not that I need that) and can weigh in stones and lb's (and ounces), lb's only or KG. All of which show on an electronic display. To switch ...
...the underside. The operation of these scales is a little different to other scales I have used, where instead of just stepping on, one has to 'tap' the scales first as vibration activates them, wait 3 seconds then step on, once the weight is displayed the display remains for 15 seconds. There is a very helpful instruction sheet in a number of languages which details the setting up, operation and instructions realted to the scales, including what ... Read review
