Have this at work so thought i'd review it as no one else has. Its a very professional machine scanning your A4 documents. Output is 27 pages per minute in black and white, with colour its 11 per minute. With a resolution of 1200 by 1200 dpi it has outstanding quality which is assured by the 'Epson Automatic Document Enhancer technology'. I wouldn't recommend buying this for your home due to the expense however this would be perfect for a work environment in any office or other workplace where a professional scanner is needed. ...Previously I had the Epson 2480 and although this was good, it is no match for the 4490,expected really with the time elasped between the release of the models.
