Not at all negative about this scanner
Review of Canon CanoScan 2700F by pauljm

Advantages: Handles 35mm negatives, slides and APS
Disadvantages: SCSI interface may be a problem for some

...hence my purchase of a Canon CanoScan 2700F (you knew I’d get there eventually). The Basics ~~~~~~~~ The 2700F is a 35mm film scanner. It will handle negative strips, APS cartridges (if anyone uses APS!) and mounted transparencies (slides). There are two main advantages to scanning the negatives rather than prints; firstly, and most importantly, you are using the original image source so you have the chance to get as much information there is, ...
...it. Software ~~~~~~~ Canon supplies CanoCraft software driver for Windows versions 95 to XP and NT4/2000. If you don’t have the latest version it can be downloaded from the Canon website. For Mac users Canon supply an Adobe PhotoShop plugin. In Use ~~~~~ The way of working depends on the media being scanned. Slides require no adapter and simply slip into the slot in the front of the scanner. APS film cartridges are loaded using the special ... Read review

Good flatbed with nice software
Review of Canon CanoScan 3000F by Niaomace

Advantages: Flatbed performance fine for the money, supplied software useful
Disadvantages: Disappointing film performance

...sale second-hand. ) The Canon 3000F is a USB flatbed scanner that also includes a facility for scanning film. I bought it to replace a loathesome Umax scanner that was nothing but trouble. By contrast, this Canon has given me no problems in the four years I've owned it. It includes a "cold cathode" light, which supposedly gives better colour than the LEDs used in some cheaper models. All I know is that it looks fine to me. When scanning printed ...
...use. Some people have complained about the speed, but I guess it depends what you expect- certainly, this USB 2.0-enabled scanner seems much faster than my old parallel Umax. The 3000F also comes with some useful software, including a photocopier facility, and a feature that lets you scan multiple pages and save them as a single PDF. (Great for archiving documents). The three buttons on the front of this unit can be programmed to directly start ... Read review

Canon CanoScan USB 3200F
Review of Canon CanoScan 3200F by patwanet

Advantages: Lightweight, Good range of software included
Disadvantages: Non-detachable lid, Some driver quirks

...then install the software. Canon are generous in that they give you not only the driver but also their own scanning application, Manual CanoScan. You also get the standard Edition of the popular and best-selling OCR/Scanning software, ScanSoft Omnipage, as well as a toolbox application that allows you to carry out basic functions from a little palatte windows in the corner of your screen. The scanner itself is lightweight and slightly larger than ...
...on the front which allow you to Scan, Print, Save and E-mail - handy for photos and business documents. There is also a lock on the base of the scanner to prevent it being used accidentally or being disturbed in transit. This lock has to be slid to the 'off' position prior to initial use, just for your reference. The only disappointing thing about the design is that even though the lid has hinges, it cannot be detaced from the scanner, which can ... Read review

A Near Perfect Scanner
Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 by anonymili

Advantages: Sooooo many features
Disadvantages: None that I can think of

We use the CanoScan Lide 25 (which I'll refer to as Lide 25 from now on) at work and a handy little scanning tool it is indeed. It's very slim and lightweight and sits nicely on my desk, ready to jump into action whenever I need to scan a document or photo. You can copy directly from the platen (glass screen) to your printer or print or even email and it's very easy to set up. AN ABUNDANCE OF FEATURES The Lide 25 uses a USB connection so ...
...handy indeed - saving on energy is always a better option. Unlike other home scanners I've used in the past the Lide 25 scans to a fairly high resolution of up to 1200 x 2400 dpi so when scanning photos you get very good quality images. The software that comes with the scanned allows you to scan documents to PDF too and you choose whether you want them in colour or monochrome or select the image quality you want from 75, 100, 200, 250, 300 or 400 ...
