Review of Acer AcerScan 620P by console

Advantages: Beautiful print quality scans-Extremely easy to use software. Quick copy utility. Extremely easy installation and setup of software.
Disadvantages: Scanner is exceptionaly large,

When scanning 35mm photos I don't think any scanner can exceed the quality of the Acer. If you're scanning for web pictures then a 300dpi resolution is more than adaquate for a quality picture and the scan time is very short. If you want to scan at a higher resolution for prints this option is available, along with different scaling settings, and a multitude of other settings. All of which are easy to understand and work exceptionaly well. For pictures ...
...that it can be purchased on Ubid.com. Most bids on it don't exceed £40 and with shipping the total cost was £60. Then there's a £10 rebate, There is an OCR Utility with the unit, maybe someone else can shed some light on this as I don't use it. It was purchased mainly for scanning pictures and copying text (unchanged). Another software came with the scanner--Ulead's Photo Express Version 2.0.
