Disadvantages: highlights lines, fade marks

flat bed scanners can be a joy or a nightmare when used. they can brilliantly pick out all the detail on your picture or ruin it with producing foldmarks when laid for processing. consider the use of white or black backing sheets when dealing with small pictures or 2 pictures in a group. when combining two letters into one make sure you have cut and pasted to be made 'invisable before printing'. the item is easily understood and instructions ... We use the CanoScan Lide 25 (which I'll refer to as Lide 25 from now on) at work and a handy little scanning tool it is indeed.
