...more advanced features for when you do need them. Image quality when using the platen is excellent. Previews are fast and a 1200dpi (max) scan only takes about 3-4 minutes for a 6x4 photo. Recently bought and installed this scanner as a replacement for an old parallel port scanner on an Windows 98 system. The scanner comes well packaged with a stand, USB cable, multi langauge instructions and a installation CD. The packaging was easy to remove with no hidden bits and bobs to remove.
