Hair removal heaven!
Review of SilkyMit Hair Removing Glove by xnovaxlazyx

Advantages: Smooth legs, no pain like when shaving, cheap!
Disadvantages: Can take a while to do.

...when I came across the Silkymit gloves I was pretty much willing to try anything and bought a pack to test out. Now I came across these in a Wilkinsons store for just 79p, but I have seen them in plenty of other shops, such as Boots, Superdrug and most leading supermarkets, but obviously the price varies for each one and I think that Wilkinsons has been the cheapest so far. They come in sets of 3 in packaging roughly about the size of a CD case ...
...you have finished using your Silkymit all you need to do is get rid of the dead skin just by gentle rinsing your legs with cool water and then wrap them in a damp towel for a while. Lastly all you need to do is moisturise and you're done! If you have sensitive skin you will be left a little red for a short while, but this soon subsides (unlike shaving) leaving beautifully smooth legs, perfect in time for summer. The best thing about this product ... Read review

PROFESSIONAL TWEEZING WITH A LETHAL WEAPON!
Review of Shavata Tweezers by Tickly

Advantages: precision tweezing
Disadvantages: fairly expensive/extremely sharp

...her name was Shavata. Shavata herself has become something of an authority on eyebrows over the years. She is based at the Micheal John beauty salon in London, and allegedly has forged a repuation with the celebrities/pop stars as being the best in the business and has a large celeb' clientele. She formed her own range of tweezers and also a Celebrity Eye Stencil Kit which you can use with her pencils to stencil in a certain look, for instance she ...
...I digress .. Shavata explained that her tweezers were precision tweezers and should eek out the smallest finest of hairs. They looked sleek and I decided this would be an investment, if not in money then certainly time as they were £19.50 plus £2.50 postage. I ordered online, rather than by phone and awaited my tweezers with anticipation. However, the postal strike did nothing to ensure the normal QVC delivery of 2 days. They arrived 6 days later ... No Razor Required
Review of Boots Silky Mits by welshgal17

Advantages: silky smooth legs, no razor
Disadvantages: takes time

...about 5 years ago in Boots at a reduced price of 59p. ( Now I have seen them in Boots for about £1.15). I was only 14 at the time and didn't own a razor (I used my Dad's :S *cringe*) and was off to torquay on holiday for a week with my friend, so I thought what the hey - they're reduced and I don't have to take a razor with me. Taking them out of the cardboard slip, I found what looked like three pieces of grey sandpaper. What are these?, I thought. ...
...I gave them a go and loved the results. DIRECTIONS ------------------ To start with, your skin must be dry - for it to work properly and remove all hairs. Take a grey 'mit' and place it over your hand. Rotate the glove in a circular motion, first rub in a clockwise motion and then an anti-clockwise motion. This will ensure that the hairs are removed fully. The white dust you will see is exfoliated skin - nothing to worry about. It does feel a ... Read review

The best electric shaver in the world?
Review of Braun Activator 8595 Electric Shaver by jerrywh

Advantages: Brilliantly made, good performance, unique self-cleaning feature
Disadvantages: Quite expensive and needs cleaner cartridges from time to time

...down very quickly to the Braun Activator 8595. The 8595 is a premium product with a retail price approaching £185, though significant discounts can be found online. It is currently the flagship of the Braun range. It is a very solid, good looking, well made piece of kit in brushed metal, with simple controls. It has a NiMH battery which I hope should last a long time, with its "intelligent battery management" system. It is quiet, it works well and ...
...on one charge if you need it to. This shaver also has one unique feature which is that it cleans itself!! It comes with a "base station" a bit like a cordless phone. You put it in, lights flash, and it says whether it needs an eco, normal or intensive clean. You press a button, and it sets to work, buzzing, gurgling and generally whistling to itself for between 30-40mins. Next time you shave it is like using a new razor! The base station includes ...
