A great hand wash
Review of Asda Moisturising Handwash by welshfruitbat

Advantages: Cheap, kind to my hands
Disadvantages: None as yet

...hand wash at my local Asda store. I paid 68 pence for this 500ml bottle. The fragrance I chose was Fresh Blue, but is also available in Citrus Yellow at the same price. There is also a Petal White available which costs slightly less at 59 pence. This hand wash is their own brand, but is not from their 'Smart Price' range. PACKAGING The bottle is made of clear plastic, so you can see the hand wash through it. I find this handy as you can see how ...

I tend to suffer from dry skin on my hands, especially in winter time, so I am forever putting on some hand cream. I find that some ... Read review

Nice clean hands for tea
Review of Boots Antibacterial Hand Wash by numberthree

Advantages: Easy to use bottle and plunger
Disadvantages: You have to pay for it

I began shopping in Boots when I had my two children. I found they had everything a Mum needed. As my children grew up my shopping requirements gradually changed from nappies and wipes to hand washing. Isn’t it interesting that only when we are buying with our children in mind do we start to think about how easy things are to use? Well that became my dilemma when my children became old enough to wash their own hands. I felt that a bar of soap was ...
...So what did Boots have to offer? I like their own brand products, as they are usually excellent value, so I had a look in the liquid soap section. I had usually bought the odd bottle of liquid soap from the supermarket (Carex), but I saw Boots had their own version. I was looking for something fairly plain and simple without a fancy fragrance. This Boots one seemed to fit the bill, their Anti Bacterial Liquid soap was a little cheaper than Carex, ... Read review

Clean Hands
Review of Boots Camomile and Lemonbalm Handwash by AJ26

Advantages: Good value for money, fresh lasting smell.
Disadvantages: Slight leak from bottle.

...so my husband popped into Boots the chemist on the way home and came back with a bottle of Boots Camomile and Lemonbalm Handwash. The soap is made by Boots and therefore only available in their shops. It comes in a 250ml bottle and costs £0.99. For liquid soaps I think this is pretty good value. I prefer liquid soaps as they are more hygenic than bars of soap as you don't leave your germs or dirt on the bar of soap for the next person. The bottle ...
...the bottle, also good as you can see how much is left. The label on the front has a lovely white flower which I presume is a camomile as its looks very like a daisy. It says it contains natural extracts of camomile and lemonbalm In the Middles Ages lemon balm was used to ease tension, dress wounds, and as a cure for toothache it was even thought to prevent baldness. It was also thought that Lemon Balm was good for promoting long life (slightly doubtful ... Review of Boots Essentials Handwash by pink_champagne

Advantages: Cheap, many uses
Disadvantages: packaging, not anti-bacterial

...As this is a Boots brand product, it can only be bought from Boots, or Boots.com. I have used Boots.com and found it very reliable, just in case you're thinking of using it. Price As I said above, this costs 89p which I think is very reasonable for the amount you're getting. Also if you have a Boots card, you will earn 3 advantage card points for buying this, which is equivalent to 3p. Not a huge amount, but it all adds up! What are its bad points? ... Read review

Calm mind and clean hands.
Review of Boots Lavender and Rosemary Handwash by AJ26

Advantages: Pleasant smell, cleans hands, good value for money.
Disadvantages: If you don't like lavender you won't like this.

...250ml bottle, available only in Boots and costs 99p. This soap claims to relax your body, is this possible when you're only washing your hands? Well only one way to find out so off I go. I run my hands under the hot water and reach for the bottle. The soap is stored in a clear pump dispenser bottle, the label on the front has a picture of lavender on it. The soap is a thin consistency and purple in colour. The pump easily dispenses an adequate ...
...on my wet hands. The smell is definitely of lavender but I can't detect any rosemary scent. Do I feel more relaxed after using it? Well honestly I have to say no but then I wasn't really expecting to feel relaxed after just washing my hands. My hands do smell pleasantly of the lavender smell, it's a delicate fragrance and half an hour later I can still detect a faint lavender smell. I suppose if you sit and smell your hands then the lavender may ... Read review
