Review of Electrolux EDI 96150 W IRON AID by
kineticspade
Advantages: does as it says
Disadvantages: do not overload or it takes ages
My husband bought this drier, much to my despair; I prefer the good old radiators for drying my clothes as I have always thought that a drier would rapidly increase my electricity bill. Which yes it has increased it but not by as much as what I thought. I still tend to use the radiators also rather than just using the drier for everything.
The drier also said that it would save on ironing, as it takes all the creases out, surely that cannot be right. ... ...put it to the test. I decided to do a full load in the drier. Well I was slightly disappointed the clothes took absolutely ages to be dry, and although they were not really badly creased I still had to run over them with a quick iron. To be honest that is what I expected from a full load in the drier. Then I tried just a few items, this time I was impressed, the clothes were dry in about 20 minutes, and there was no creases in them. So on the few ...

I've only had this machine a couple of days, but I'm already in love with it. It's the first time I've been out and bought a Tumble Dryer before (having been given them previously) and to be honest, I chose the matching washing machine and bought this to make the set (LG WM14331FD - the set cost £750 from Comet as a package deal). But it's fabulous ...

Leaky HHD780X ... and this is the second one!
Review of Hoover HHD 780 X by
El_Batsab
Advantages: Dries quickly and quietly.
Disadvantages: Condensed moisture leaks everywhere.
It does away with the need to empty the condenser chamber or duct to outside.
Very simple to plumb in to existing plumbing and it's very easy to use.
It does the job of drying extremely well, and quietly too. However ...
We are on our second HHD780X in as many months. The first 'leaked' steam which then condenses everywhere, including inside the dryers enclosure, so we had water everywhere. Seals, ducts and drum were replaced a few times, but ... ...isn't any better!
We're now waiting for a return call to find out what can be done in order to sort out the problem, so it's fingers crossed that the problem can be sorted!

UPDATE
Our 3rd machine works perfectly! Yippee!

great little good value for money machine
Review of Hotpoint V3D00 Aquarius by
lkmc01
Advantages: small, good make, very easy to use. both clockwise and anticlockwise drying
Disadvantages: 3kg only
I bought this machine just over a year ago from currys for £100. I was a straight off the shelve display model. Works fine no problems. Only a 3kg dry though, but I can fit most of my 7kg wash into it. Has a cool and a hot heat button. Has a 10 minute cool down time at the end. I have a pipe from it into a white box with water in it. The box with pipes was supposed to be £20 from curries. We didn't entend to get it but we went back in to see that ... ...hold on. They they gave us the box with a longer pipe and one that fits. Great value for money. Very easy to easy, you just turn a dial clockwise. It has both clockwise and anticlockwise drying. the cleaning grid is very easy to remove and easy to clean. should be done after each dry. so easy though its never been a problem. ...

Zanussi Tumble Dryer: ZDE46130W
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux ZDC 46130 by
misseskimo
Advantages: Easy to use, easy to clean filters
Disadvantages: End of programme and water tank full alarm can drive you a bit crazy!
I bought this last year whilst renovating my new flat. I hadn't had a tumble dryer before and so although I wanted a cheap machine for the few times I would use it, I also wanted to get a good machine that I could stick in the cupboard out of the way.
I find this Zanussi tumble dryer very easy to use, all I have to do is put the clothes in, scroll the control knob to the time that I want and press Start! It also has the option to say that their ... ...I mainly use the dryer for my towels and bed sheets, or in winter when I finish off a load from the line.
I don't personally find this a problem, but my partner always says that it's hard to empty the water tank at the bottom of the machine, as it's very low down and you have to bend down and unclip something to get the tank out... He normally ends up pulling out the wrong one and soaking himself with de-ionized water! :)
I find that the filters ...
