one hell of a suction
Review of Dyson DC07 by
sexyshoff
Advantages: very powerfull
Disadvantages: long
...another, the piping on this Dyson is joined through plastic clips. This means that it can be dismantled easily. How many times in the past have you been desperately pulling attachments off the hoover arm because they seem to be superglued together by some mysterious force? I know I have.
MANUAL
There is a manual in 13 languages which was interesting to navigate, although not really considered essential as the Dyson Animal was so easy to assemble ...

Nothing else compares
Review of Dyson DC19 by
ugm6hr
Advantages: Brilliant design, Excellent suction, Well-built
Disadvantages: If I have to list one... No Turbine Head tool included
This is my second Dyson vacuum, which says a lot in itself!
I have owned an alternative "bagless cyclone" vacuum, but found that none compare to the suction power of a Dyson. Just like they say on their advert, if you want something like a Dyson, get a Dyson.
It certainly costs more than most vacuums, but the 5-year warranty included probably makes it worthwhile (in addition to the tremendous suction power).
The good quality design continues to ... ...so will slide under almost any furniture that has a 2-inch ground clearance. Other furniture tools are standard fare, and now attach to the vacuum body (rather than as previously on the hose). The tube extends easily, without needing to be separated into 2 sections like most cylinder vacuums, which is a nice touch; it also has a sturdier feel to it than most modern equivalents.
One thing I would like to see included is the Turbine Head (which is ...

Silence is Golden, when it sucks this good
Review of Electrolux Z 8240 Twinclean by
mrmessy2
Advantages: Versatile, Quite, Good Reachabilty, Good range of Attachments
Disadvantages: Bit heavy, Price
I bought my Electrolux Z8240 in a closing down sale at the Co-op for an amazing £104.99. The rrp is £179.99 which is a bit pricy, but please do not let this put you off. Its more than a match for the dyson and it even has some advantages over it.
Okay so first impressions, well after carrying it about a mile from the shop to where I had parked the car, I can say that for its size it is fairly heavy. This is the only down side, beside the the pricetag.
... ...it becomes apparent that the wieght of the item is down the pure solid build of the vacuum. Fear not, it has big soft wheels so maneouverabilty is not a problem. Combine this with the 10 metre power cord and the 3 metre reach from the handle you should be able to reach most of your house from one plug (unless you live in a mansion, in which case you probably have a maid and don't care about vacuum cleaners).
So I put it together and noticed that ...

Tips from an insider
Review of Dyson DC 18 ALL Floors SLIM by
iles2004
Advantages: Bagless, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Wires are likely to get tangled
...extremely reliable (as is most dyson products) but is also easy to store due to it's 'slim' style.
It is fairly light and easy to manoever aswell as being powerful and allows you to see just how dirty your front room was (always an added bonus)
The removable heads although suited to cleaning every surface e.g sofas and corners of walls and easy to remove are likely to get tangled and possibly lost
The bagless feature of all dyson products is effective ...

Dyson
Review of Dyson DC25 Animal by
jad1965
Advantages: Picks pet hair up well at first
Disadvantages: heavy and bulky, lost its first brilliance
Well when I bought this one we had two dogs, one longhaired. When used at first it was fantastic and I thought 'Great' I've found one that does what it says on the tin!. However a few months down the line it worked properly less and less, missing hairs, soon getting bunged up etc. Even when taken apart and cleaned properly with new filters I never got that 'first' good feeling. I also found the hoover a little heavy and I wasn't keen on the telescopic ...
