Bosching brilliant tool for cat clean up
Review of Bosch BSG 72025 GB by BenTrabent

Advantages: Great suction, good design and flexibility
Disadvantages: Slightly flimsy attachment / tools compartment

I bought this model on the recommendation of a colleague and haven't looked back since. This vacuum has fantastic suction and works well on a variety of surfaces. I regularly use it on laminate and slate floors (kitchen and bathrooms), carpets as well as using it to clean upholstery of hairs from the cat! The attachments/ tool set is comprehensive and includes a top notch turbo brush. This is the best vacuum I have used with a bag rather than Dyson ...
...those more expensive models. The telescopic tube is ideal for reaching out of the way corners and cobwebby ceilings. The body is light enough to be easily portable and the wheels / retractable cable combination makes it fantastically easy to move about. All in all, I could not be more pleased with this purchase and have recommended the model to more than one friend who has expressed interest in a new cleaner. ... Read review

The Vac From The Kettle Company
Review of Morphy Richards 71062 Performair Allergy Cyclonic by donnamarie1975

Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: None I can think of

...only out of plastic). Morphy Richards seemed to have thought of everything. The vac uses Hepa filters, of which they have kindly provided 2, these have a lifetime guarantee. They are easy to keep clean, just rinse them under the tap and let them dry thoroughly. The bagless cylinder is easy to remove and by pressing a button your waste is released. There is also a little dusting brush on board to brush away additional dust. The dust capacity is 3.8 ...
...the suction on this vac is good, especially if like me you have a pet. You can vary this though with a slider on the front of the vac, for non powerful jobs. I must admit I do love my new vac, my house has never looked cleaner. ... Read review

Vax Rapide XL
Review of VAX V 027 Rapide XL by polo2

Advantages: Consistently cleans heavy duty dirt
Disadvantages: Heavy to use

I have found this carpet and uphostery cleaner very useful and able to manage the general day-to-day dirt and stains from having two dogs and two young children. It is easy to use, and very quick to set up prior to starting. However it can be heavy (but not heavier than other similar cleaners. It has been used over two years on a two weekly basis without any problem. The controls are easy to use but at times cleaning out the dirty water tank has ... Read review

Numatic "Henry Hound" - a doggy prayer answered.
Review of Numatic HHR 200 Hound by Bilgescraper

Advantages: A simple, bombproof, highly efficient, and lovable piece of engineering.
Disadvantages: Plastic hoses, no on-board stowage of accessories.

...Eventually having tried a Numatic Henry wet 'n dry which had great "suck" but no powered head I took the plunge and ordered a "Henry Hound". On arrival, and with some trepidation, I unpacked it, connected the hoses etc, put on the 24v power head [which was quite heavy] and pressed the button. My "test" lasted half an hour by which time every corner of the flat was devoid of dog hairs, dust, and even chewed wood and little bits of plastic - eureka, ...
...called Henry! Yes,the Numatic Hound is quite expensive compared to some competitirs claiming to have twice its power. It's even more than the ordinary "Turbo" model due to the extrordinary carbon filter - but worth every penny. The "Hound" does precisely what it says on the box, and more, and is far quieter than most of its competitors. It follows you around like a love lost puppy and its trademark "Mr Henry smiley face" makes cleaning, even for ... Read review
