I purchased this machine because I did not have room for a separate washing machine and dryer, however, I wish I had made room and would recommend that if you can have both do so. The washing machine itself is good. The high capacity load means that you can wash large loads without any detrimental effect on the overall wash result. ...are a few negatives. I find the spin cycle noisy and cannot run the machine at night as it keeps us awake. Also, there is no rinse hold function so I find you have to remove the washing as soon as possible as it creases otherwise - the machine does not rotate the drum after the spin so it stays stuck to it. Advantages: Fills a gap in a kitchen while you wait for them to repair it.
Disadvantages: Cheaply made, even cheaper customer service

Hotpoint (Indesit are their parent company) will sell you their product through MFI and when the machine breaks, AND IT WILL, they will: A: Send an engineer out (at their convienience not yours). B: Tell you it must be your fault it's broken. C: Begrudgingly fix it (although this will take 4 visits - again at their convienience) D: The machine will break in exactly the same place (cheap plastic paddles that make the clothes tumble) in less than 3 ...
...out of date and that they will only send an engineer to look at the product if you pay them £104 UPFRONT!! Even though the parts they replaced are 3 months old and therefore technically still in warranty. Listen to those voices that tell you you'd be a mug to go anywhere near Hotpoint, Indesit and MFI.
